    I got this to find out why all my APC battery backups and power strips kept indicating that there was a site wiring fault. Living in an apartment, I of course asked the maintenance crew to come look at it, and they stated there wasn’t an issue. Enter this device.

    I thought all Klein tools were made in USA But not so with this thing. This showed no ground on every outlet. Amazon sent another immediately and curiosity got the best of me so I opened up the broken one and there was a broken solder joint for the ground. I cant see how the solder would ever bond with the shiny, greasy, ground prong with nowhere to physically connect the wire. The new one works for now but I dont expect it to last long. Electric testing devices deserve higher quality control and I expect more from Klein.

    I previously gave little thought to inverted outlet wiring. Now I always check it and it there is a problem adjust the bid accordingly. Technology is becoming more critical and if a plug is set up to accept AC voltage in a specific direction then it will be important to you as well. Well worth the money.

    Im in new construction, and for the 1st 2 days, it worked perfectly. After that it started to show open neutral. I had to wiggle the tester just to see the middle light to flash to know if the circuit is correct. I figured Klein would be a quality brand. I was wrong.
