Komelon SL2825 Self Lock 25-Foot Power Tape

It does everything it states it will. Seems a little big for 25 feet.

I love this tape measure. First of all I love that it locks automatically when you pull it out (so much simpler, especially when youre working alone) and also Iike that they offer this in a 12-foot length. The shorter length is smaller, lighter and I rarely need to measure things longer than 8 or 10 feet. The price is super cheap, too. A great buy.

The lock mechanism doesnt secure properly. So if I need to lay the tape down and expect it to remain stationary Im out of luck. It will slowly retract because the lock mechanism is faulty.

I would of given this item zero stars but they wont let me Used it about three times only pulled it out to about five feet a nd shot craps will not retract

Im a custom metal fabricator and a tape measure is never far from reach. I bought this peticullar brand of tape about 3 years ago and havent bought any other brand since. Im hell on them too! they are little plastic tanks. Ive dropped them from 20 platforms with no issues. I saw some issues on here with the coil spring being a little harsh, it is! I tend to bump it as it reels up to slow the momentum so I dont get that nasty slap on the housing, especially for longer measurements. Nice clean tape thats easy to see. A couple of guys I worked with bought the same tape after using mine. I would recommend it to anyone.
