Komelon SM5416 Speed Mark Gripper Acrylic Coated Steel Blade Tape Measure 16-feet by 1-Inch, White Blade

Really like this measuring tape! I originally bought it for my work bag but its a little too big for my purposes but I am still keeping it for at-home use. Its a hefty size with a protective case. I love that the measurements are easy to read so you can be really precise with your measurements.

I accidently got the tape measures by a random chance. I think it is a really well made product. I cannot really explain how I feel when I use it, but among several tape measures I own, I use this tape measure all the time.

This tape measure is my go-to tape measure while Im in the wood shop building things. It feels solid, and can take a beating (Ive dropped it more times than I care to count). The square bottom with the rubberized cover is perfect to set it down on the surface youre measuring, and it keeps it from sliding back or retracting. I took off one star for the locking feature, because the lock doesnt always engage if that side of the tape measure housing is against the edge of whatever youre measuring. Outside of that, I have no complaints at all. I have both the 16 and 25 versions, but the slightly more compact form of the 16 makes it the standard tape measure that lives in my shop apron.

I got this a while ago and shortly after having it the locking feature ended up getting stuck when I tried to slide the button down. It also had trouble going back in after a while of using it. I didnt even use it that often and still ended up with several issues after a while of putting up with it I threw it away.

Easy to read the eighth. quarter, and half marks from the top or bottom of the tape and doesnt have ears that get in the way when holding the tape stop and a razor to keep the cut true to zero on the tape when say, ripping an 8 or 12 foot sheet of drywall or cutting or drawing accurately measured boxes etc.

This measuring tape is of great quality and very sturdy, no complaints there. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because its significantly bulkier (and heavier) than I imagined when ordered. If you are looking to buy a measuring tape to casually carry around (e.g., take to furniture stores), this is probably not the best option.

Favorite tape measure Ive ever owned, bar none. Love it so much, bought a second one (so could always find when looking for, lol :) ) I mean, come on, I never thought Id so much as even write a review for a tape measure of all things, let alone have this many good things to say about one : ) PROS: • Plenty wide, but not too much so. • Great stand-out distance • Very easy to read • Operation couldnt be better – extends out and pulls back very easily; brake holds excellently • Perfect overall size, super easy to hold – not too big, not too small, but just right, and lightweight too CONS: • It doesnt wash dishes. BWAHAHAHA, jk – there are no cons! :):):)

This tape measure is great! It’s well made, rubber insulated, the black numbers on the white background are easy to see, and the 1/8” marks are a nice addition.16’ is plenty for my work so it’s not too bulky either. Happy with this purchase!
