> 24 hourI bought this as a gift for my step-dad, who is one of those hard to buy for people. He loves it! The LED is bright and clear, and 3 D cell batteries turn this into more of a spotlight...

> 24 hourThe flashlight has an awesome weight and feel. If youve never owned a mag-lite, just know that I have no reason to buy ANY other flashlight. The newest LED series are as bright as any normal human needs. I bought this 3D LED at the same time as the Mini Pro LED (SP2P01H) and I think I will probably get more use out of the mini pro. The mini pro has a better wide beam and is obviously much more compact and easy to carry (and lose?) That said, the 3D has an amazing estimated battery life and would be better for bopping people over the head. I know both have adjustable beams, but the 3D has the classic dark spot in the middle that you wont get with the mini pro LED. I like to have both around when I can though. Both are awesome. Buy both.

> 24 hourThe flashlight is what I expected from Maglite sturdy and well built. The light is quite bright brighter that two other upgraded Maglite flashlights I have. I upgraded 4D and 2D flashlights with LED bulbs but the are no way as bright as this one. I believe this flashlight has a better reflector designed for the LED where as the other two flashlights were originally designed for Incandescent bulbs. This flashlight is just about industructable which is what Maglite flashlights are noted for. My original 4D Maglite flashlight is more than 20 years old.

> 24 hourTo Mr/Mrs William H. Ruff ( July 13, 2015) :- I have a similar Maglite LED flashlight (ML300L) and experienced what I thought was also a failure. However, when I went to their web-site, I learned that it required a set-up. Have a look at http://maglite.com/wp-content/uploads/MagDocs/Maglite%202-Cell%20D%20LED%203rd%20Gen%20Flashlight/English/Operation/MAGLITE_3GEN_OPERATION_ENG.pdf. Removing and replacing the cap and whilst holding down the button, brought my Maglite to life. Before cussing Maglite, try it, and report back here, so we can all learn. The only reason I didnt give a 5th star, was because of the difficulty I had determining my problem - a time-waster, indeed! Gord Clark Rockburn, Qué.
