This thing rusts faster than you can blink. Just kidding! it can turn rusty overnight though. The knife feels great in my hand though. Nice knife, if you take good care of it.

I like the heavy duty version a lot. It is quality, Quality and quality for the money. Comes razor sharp from the factory. These are great all around bushcraft knives that are built to last. There is no other brand of knife I would rank above Mora IMHPO

Its a Mora, heavy duty carbon steel. It works. You can buy 5 of these while youre waiting on the perfect fixed blade to come along.

Great knife, Used it for 6 days camping And it did a great job at everything from slicing foods to cutting thin pieces of firewood . The sheath has a great plastic clip that makes getting it on and off your belt very easy and if stays very secure. Because it is not stainless it may rust And will need to be taken care of but carbon steel is also tougher and harder.Incredibly sharp, well engineered knife at an unbelievable price, whats not to love?

I like the knife, cant beat the price to performance ratio. With that being said this knife has the most worthless sheath. Cant use for left hand carry, cant modify easily for neck carry. For me this will be a bench knife or a loaner due to the sheath design. There are other mora knifes that allow easier neck carry and left hand carry. I refuse to spend 50.00 for a custom kydex sheath to put a 15.00 knife into.

I love this knife!!! It feels great in the hand, and grips well. It comes quite sharp out of the box, be cautious when you get it, and you should!!! I have used this knife every day since I got it, for everything you can imagine. It is almost perfect! If it were full tang, and had a kydex sheath, It would be perfect. I put a fine edge on it, a few times, and it will shave the hairs on your arm clean off. It is great for processing dear, for sure!!! Put this together with a small camp axe in the woods, and your in business. You should also put a 90 degree grind on the spine for use with a fire steel. Thats easy enough to do with a file. Avoid cutting onions or it will patina, unless of course you like that look. You can not beat this knife for the money, no way.

The Mora Companion Heavy Duty is a powerful tool for bushcrafters, hunters and outdoor enthusiasts. Suitable for batoning, the Companion Heavy Duty features a thick, 1/8-inch (3.2mm) carbon steel blade with a slightly blunter 27 Degree edge angle for high load capacity and maximum sharpness resistance. The Companion HD has an extra large ergonomic handle with a soft high-friction grip. The classic scandi grind combined with high quality carbon steel makes the knife easy to resharpen. Mora knives made from high carbon steel achieve high hardness, sharpen easily and are exceptionally tough. High carbon steels are preferred in applications that demand durability and frequent regrinding. The material is harder than stainless steel, allowing it to hold a sharper and more durably acute edge. Mora Knives are made from high-quality carbon steel. The carbon knife steels are characterized by ultra-fine carbides that result in superb forging and hardening properties. The absence of large carbide deposits promotes excellent edge sharpness for optimum cutting performance. Morakniv has been manufacturing the highest-quality knives in Mora, Sweden since 1891. Professionals worldwide trust the quality materials and fine craftsmanship of Mora Knives. Mora knives feature ergonomically-designed handles and employ premium-quality knife steel that is optimally adapted to the task for which the knife is intended.
