Morakniv Garberg Full Tang Fixed Blade Knife with Carbon Steel Blade

Das Messer ist Super , mußte noch etwas abgezogen werden . Jetzt ist es richtig scharf . Anmerkung es kommt schon scharf aus der Box , aber da geht noch mehr . Der Stahl ist verdammt hart , und läuft an , also immer schön ölen . Zum Handling , sehr gut . Der Griff ist aufgespritzt aber durch die Gummierung sehr griffig auch mit nassen Händen , und er liegt satt in der Hand . Zumindest bei mir . Das Messer ist aus Carbon Stahl , Klingenrücken ist scharf angeschliffen zum Anreißen von Feuerstahl od. Abschaben von Rinde od. ähnlichem. Was mich ein bisschen gestört hat ist der Schliff . Müßte so ca. 20 Grad haben. Ich hätte mir gewünscht das er etwas flacher und höher gezogen wäre . Damit wäre es wirklich gut zu schärfen und auch empfindlicheres Schnittgut wäre gut zu schneiden . Aber mit entsprechender Benutzung wird es auch immer schärfer und man gewöhnt sich an den Schnittwinkel . Mein Schliff ist Scandi bis auf 0 . Das Ding gehört ins Holz und durch die Klingenlänge als EDC jederzeit führbar ( im Wald / Camping usw. ). Zur Lederscheide , die ist wirklich sehr gut verarbeitet . Das Messer sitzt sehr stramm . Die Kanten sind sauber verschliffen und Ja es ist Echtes Leder ! . Die Lederscheide trägt sich gut wobei das Messer selbstverständlich auch in die Multipoint Scheide passt . Was mir negativ aufgefallen ist , das Leder färbt schwarz ab . Für Outdoor Hosen OK . Bevorzuge daher auch die Multipoint Scheide da ich beide Messervarianten habe . Übrigend`s es passen auch andere Messer in die Scheide , einfach ausprobieren . Ansonsten gibt es nicht mehr zu sagen , ich hoffe das der Eine od. Andere mit meiner Rezension was anfangen kann . Ach ja und achtet auf den Preis , ich hab meins für mich günstig bekommen , kurze Zeit später wars wieder 20 Euro teurer .

This is my first Mora, and Im fairly impressed by this sub-$100 knife. I bought this with the intention of replacing my EDC full tang knife (actually used daily). Out of the box, it is a nice piece of steel. Decent coating. And the spine IS ground flat and unfinished (perfect for fire steel!). I was certain I would hate the handle (I normally prefer scales or wood) but was pleasantly surprised with how good it feels in the hand! This particular knife wasnt very sharp on arrival, and the edge had some imperfections. It couldnt cut cardboard, and even had some difficulty with an apple. I had already planned to regrind the blade prior to purchase, so about 45min of work and its gooder than new! I recommend checking the edge when your arrives, and mentioning any issues to Amazon. The sheath is excellent quality, with a locking friction-fit for the blade. The belt-loop is leather and held on with 2 studs (potential failure point) but feels pretty sturdy. It is also detachable so the sheath can swivel for ambidextrous wear. The fire steel/sharpening attachment also detaches when not needed. My only gripe is that (wearing on left side) the diamond sharpener is oriented downwards and will definitely cut a chair/seat if you sit on it. The attachment is keyed in one direction so you cant swivel it like the sheath can.

Great knife, I would have said starter knife but I’ve seen far too many videos as well of using the knife to say this is a great main knife. Batons very well and holds an excellent edge. Really easy to sharpen being a scandy convex grind.

We had to sharpen it it was a little dull. Aside from that it seams like a great knife.

Sturdy and reliable. Won’t let you down in the woods.

My 2nd Garberg. I also own a stainless model. These are some of the best priced, sturdy and reliable scandi grind blades available. Ive really worked my stainless model hard for yrs and its never failed. Im sure this carbon model will be just a good.

Exactly what you would expect- great quality

Bought this knife on the recommendation of The Gray Bearded Green Beret. Ive been using it primarily for batoning wood for fires over the past three or four months and it has been excellent due to the thickness of the blade and full tang. The tip is quite strong as well. Its been a workhorse for everything else. I definitely recommend it.

Es un cuchillo fuerte y sólido, lo compré en la versión de acero al carbono y lo utilizo para cuando me voy de camping o cacería, es buen desollador y puedes darle caña haciendo batoneo y el lomo viene afilado para poder usarse con ferrocerio o sacar virutas para iniciar fuego. Algo que no me gustó fue que no me vino tan afilado de fábrica a comparación del mora kansbol o companion que cortan hasta el aire, pues bueno, al garberg le faltó pero se soluciona dándole unas cuantas pasadas uno mismo, creo igual influye el filo en que es un cuchillo mucho más ancho que los otros 2 como para trabajos más rudos y no tan finos. La retencion de la funda no se si solo fue la mía pero no hace tanta presión a comparación del kansbol (que es la misma funda), el mango del garberg es menos gomoso y por lo tanto más resbaladizo pero no está mal. En fin que esto no es una comparación solo lo hice por si alguien está interesado en adquirir uno de los 2, estoy contento con mi garberg, pero por estas razones, un filo más fino y sobretodo un precio mucho menor eligiria el kansbol 1,000 veces más.
