I use for work...its more comfortable on my uniform

I have experienced no noticeable difference in reception from the longer stock antenna.

First one I ordered did not work must be defective. Placed an order for another one hopefully this one works. The deputy chief ordered one his works great.

Works very well and makes the radio easier to carry on my duty belt, no more antenna in the armpit.

Works great so far. Not as great of reception as the longer antenna when in big buildings or underground but that was expected. The shorty is out of the way though.

Better than the long antenna that was issued. I have to tighten the antenna daily though.

I have been a big fan of this device for a long time. My old stubby cracked at the base after a few years of hard use ( I had to remove the stubby antenna at the end of each shift- I beleave that contributed to the base cracking after many uses). On our APX 7000 reception is about equal that of the standard antenna. Definitely worth the price. Id stick to this OEM option (and its greater cost) a few bucks is NOT worth risking comms failure with an aftermarket device.
