This was a nicely constructed house for my hamster. She fit through the holes with ease. Unfortunately she was using one of the chambers as a bathroom and the wood just absorbs the smells. It was pretty gross and theres no way to really get the smell out so I had to toss it after a couple weeks. Otherwise it seemed like a nice house.

My large Syrian female already loves her new hideout. Im getting the 11 inch wodent wheel to put on top of my lovely six room large hamster hide. It doesnt seem to trigger her destructive side, so thats a relief. And to the reviewer who complained about the wood not being finished, you wouldnt want your critter to consume paint finish.(food for thought)

Size good for Syrian hamster but it is very delicate and breaks easily. It came with one of the ends cracked.

This is by far our dwarf hamsters fav. She hides all her chews in it and loves playing peek a boo out the little hole. Every little room has a purpose for her.

So I finally added this to my hamster’s enclosure....to be completely honest with you he loves the hell out of it. I haven’t seen him in 6 days. He packed all of his stuff up from his old sleeping spot and moved in. He used to run in his wheel all the time...he never leaves the house. He’s turned into a super homebody. I thought he was dead. I panicked and took the roof off and he got super irritated that I woke him up. He stores all his food in one room and I have no idea what he does in the other rooms. I know he leaves the house at some point because the water goes down and there’s less food around. But yea...in the end, he basically loves the house. He may have posters and plumbing on the inside. I have no idea. That’s his domain now.

My larger siberian hamster does not enjoy many toys or shelters, but loves this hideout. The wood is smooth and of great quality. Very spacious for toys and is easy to move through. Not easily stained and the top easily comes off and goes back into its place

I have a 40 gallon tank for my fancy bear Syrian hamster and was worried that this 6 room large would be to large for the tank and take to much space but it fits in well! I set my 10 inch wheel on it and thought that I wouldn’t be able to shut my 40 gallon tank lid down since it’s tall, but it shuts and is well secured ! I’m a new hamster mom so I’m still getting the hang of making sure my hamster, lilo, gets comfy in his new habitat . I also recommend to get a natural wood stainer if you hamster pees just anywhere to prevent the wood from smelling like urine !
