> 3 dayIm tired of companies selling a product that is supposed to take care of all your issues only to find out that they have ANOTHER product that you need to keep things working/tidy. In this case, Norton 360 is supposed to be a one product to keep your computer protected and in good shape. Now theyve split off Norton Utilities and you have to buy that as a separate product. Hey Norton! Just call Norton 360 Norton Antivirus like you used to and quit misleading us to think this one product will take care of our computers upkeep. Its misleading at best.

Greater than one weekIf youve used Norton in the past and dealt with the hassle of renewing with a retail product key when updating multiple devices you already know. If not, be forewarned: Norton will try to get you into renewing at full retail at every corner. About as convoluted as it gets. Why Norton cant just allow a registration of a new paid retail key simply then automatically update existing devices is a mystery. Also the auto renewal with a payment in place will kick in at full price unless you proactively cancel.

> 3 dayI have used the Norton antivirus for several years, and it seems to work good. BUT, it is very expensive.

> 3 dayI really despise how Norton does their auto renew. It is much cheaper to buy this, than to auto renew. But, in order to do that, you have to completely remove the current version, and reinstall this version. Its a ridiculous policy that Norton has.

> 3 day9/22 update and new 3 star review - I just wasted an hour screwing around with a logon to a long time financial site on my iPhone due to the Norton VPN. I was at the gym and I activated the VPN (at Nortons urging) and I set it to turn off automatically when using a safe wifi like the one at home. The VPN did NOT turn off automatically and it prevented my logon to the long used financial site. I uninstalled and reinstalled the financial app, restarted my phone and tried a few other tricks. The App would NOT work. Then I remembered the Norton VPN and once I shut it off, the financial app worked fine. The Norton VPN slows data down to a crawl and can cause issues like I just described above - it can be very annoying to use. Original 4 star review - For a new account, this Norton 360 Platinum product key from Amazon is a great deal, no issues or complaints. For $30, it’s awesome and thanks Amazon for the opportunity to get a great deal. I like the Norton password vault, most of the features and functions but there is one part that of the Norton experience that is challenging - adding this key card to an existing account. My review for this key card for a new account is 5 stars but I give it 4 stars overall because as I mentioned, the process for adding this key to an existing account is annoying and can be time consuming and the VPN can be a pain. I’ve had Norton since 2008 and the renewal “game” has become increasingly challenging. Norton wants you to auto renew your existing subscription and then upcharge on the auto renew - by a LOT. In this case, this product key is $30 and the Norton subscription renewal price is $114.99 as of the writing of this review - September, 2022. Norton used to have 2 and 3 year subscriptions. That’s all gone. They also had a far easier way to renew years ago months before the end of the subscription and that was right on the Norton account page. Not anymore. I suspect Norton relies on folks to forget about their auto renewal agreement and they get charged full retail price. There are all sorts of tricks and games required to buy this $30 key card from Amazon and use it as a renewal for an existing Norton subscription renewal. Read the reviews and you will see all manner of approaches to avoid getting hosed by Norton. It can be done but it’s not easy or quick. My process is to go online with the chat folks on the Norton site who will assist you entering this key for a renewal. There is no pricing squabble because you already have the Amazon purchased Norton key in hand - that saves some time. I was very polite with the overseas service folks and very careful not to click on any link too fast even when the service person asked me to click on them. I asked many polite questions along the way and after about 20 minutes, we had it sorted out and my existing subscription got renewed by 12 months with this Amazon purchased key which saved me about $85 over the “auto renew” price. You really don’t have a choice - either buy this key from Amazon for $30 or get “auto-renewed” by Norton for 4 times as much, your choice. Hope that helps! PS - Norton also tried to upsell constantly. They want you pay list for Lifelock, constantly send out fear sales notifications that your account is at risk from the dark web, any and all data incursions worldwide and spammers. Its a constant attempt to grab cash. Be prepared.

> 3 daySymantec is just plain anti-customer and anti consumer. They force you to do auto renewal and gets you for over $100 when a key like this is sold for $40. And then they make it hard for you to use the key without any easy online renewal like you get with Playstation Plus, Xbox live, or any other sane subscription service like Amazon prime. But it is still better to buy the key, slog thru their customer support with a live person and save $60. And DO NOT forget to delete you credit card info from their website so their auto renewal will be busted.

> 3 dayI needed at least 6 licenses. Norton does not give long term users any discounts. They offered a 5 license version for at least 3x this price. I have 4 more licenses left and now I can add to other devices that I usually didnt protect because I was a few short. Installation -- easy -- just uninstall the older version, (keep settings), install the new version and up and running. Also, they have greatly improved adding to other machines. You go to your account and simply click on the machine, enter the licence, and when that machine comes on, it will automatically update. So, I could update all the machines without having to boot them at that time, and could just wait until they came on line. I also used a barcode scanner to enter the license so double easy. I sure dont like entering in 25 char keys. (Barcode scanners are really cheap now). Of course the other way is to type once into NOTEPAD, and copy/paste into the license field -- but I wanted to use my barcode scanner for fun. Be sure to remember to disable the auto renewal at least 2 months before the time. I was waiting and suddenly saw a charge about 1.2 month before the expiration! But that was ok, Norton reversed the charges without issue! No question asked and I told them it was a price issue and suggested they meet these competitive prices at least for long term customers! MY experience with Cust Service with Norton has always been great and they have always been helpful especially when I had one of those not-bad viruses hit and with some minor issues. (I allowed them to take over the machine and that got it done fastest, PLUS I learned a few tricks when they did their cleaning)

Greater than one weekIf you have any previous years versions of (Windows) Norton Internet Security and Norton VPN, please DELETE them!!! Because the installation of this resurrected Norton 360 does NOT! If you dont, you probably will have to waste a lot of time trying to diagnose problems. I went on the Community Forums to find this out and that I needed to download and run Norton Remove and Replace too. Also, if you have Malwarebytes, be sure to disable it when installing N360. For 2019, Norton changes their main products, and these products are different for retail than on Nortons website. One finally installed, it works great. One note, that upon any start-up or reboot, it takes considerable longer for initial for N360 to initialize on Windows desktops and laptops. Also, dont have the built-in VPN on the Start Programs. Just use it when need it. Ive been using Norton for many years. If it werent for the setup issues, I would have given it 5 Stars.

Greater than one weekThe big lesson learned upfront: Use of this pre-paid subscription requires that you enroll in auto pay with active billing information at the time of product activation. You can later turn off auto pay - but if you do not intend on using the auto pay feature at all, why even provide those details to begin with. I have been a very long time user of this product and recently was faced with a new requirement to provide billing information to utilize a product that I believed I had pre-paid in full to use for the year. I admittedly missed the fine print myself that indicates to the more informed users that there were additional requirements that need to be met to activate this product. Be ready to provide billing details as described in the product literature enrolling yourself in their Auto Renew feature if you intend to activate and utilize this product. I chose not to use this product I purchased as a result of this recent change and ate the cost of my own lack of product review upfront. This may still be a product that works for others if auto renew and their updated terms of service are acceptable to you as a consumer. The new terms of service are just outside the comfort zone in which I choose to share my billing information. The product I am sure works just fine based on my soon to expire service, but the updated terms of service and activation processes are outside the bounds of what I am willing to agree to.
