> 3 dayThis is a good antivirus program. It has too many adds promoting other Norton products,, to the point of annoyance. This is an auto renewal subscription. The will bill you for the renewal without providing a reminder beforehand.

> 3 dayNow, when you try to renew your current version of Norton 360 with the latest Key Code by entering it in the Norton App, the Key Code is marked as not supported. You either have to logon to Norton and enter the Key Code and then download and reinstall (on 10 devices if you have a license for 10) or contact Support by chat and they will merge the new Key Code into the exiting Norton 360 Active Key Code to active all the associated devices. This is a REAL PAIN. I spent several hours trying to get this all worked out. I have been using Norton for more then a decade, but now considering other options.

> 3 daySymantec is just plain anti-customer and anti consumer. They force you to do auto renewal and gets you for over $100 when a key like this is sold for $40. And then they make it hard for you to use the key without any easy online renewal like you get with Playstation Plus, Xbox live, or any other sane subscription service like Amazon prime. But it is still better to buy the key, slog thru their customer support with a live person and save $60. And DO NOT forget to delete you credit card info from their website so their auto renewal will be busted.

> 3 daySo the key features from this package that stand out to me are: protection for 10 devices, an included VPN, basic Lifelock coverage, a password manager, and 75GB of cloud back-up. So yeah, you get a lot to say the least. The only thing I found mildly irritating is that it had to be shipped. Previously, you could have a digital code sent, and its still an option if you want it linked with Amazon. I also recommend that each year, you disable your Norton subscription, and then just buy another code here. Youll save money that way, but you have to remember to do that extra IT administration one day a year.

> 3 dayThe big lesson learned upfront: Use of this pre-paid subscription requires that you enroll in auto pay with active billing information at the time of product activation. You can later turn off auto pay - but if you do not intend on using the auto pay feature at all, why even provide those details to begin with. I have been a very long time user of this product and recently was faced with a new requirement to provide billing information to utilize a product that I believed I had pre-paid in full to use for the year. I admittedly missed the fine print myself that indicates to the more informed users that there were additional requirements that need to be met to activate this product. Be ready to provide billing details as described in the product literature enrolling yourself in their Auto Renew feature if you intend to activate and utilize this product. I chose not to use this product I purchased as a result of this recent change and ate the cost of my own lack of product review upfront. This may still be a product that works for others if auto renew and their updated terms of service are acceptable to you as a consumer. The new terms of service are just outside the comfort zone in which I choose to share my billing information. The product I am sure works just fine based on my soon to expire service, but the updated terms of service and activation processes are outside the bounds of what I am willing to agree to.

Between You and Me
> 3 dayJuly seems to be when Norton is a steal at Amazon. I dont have 10 devices, but I can share the registration code with someone who is not in my household. Once you enter the code during the registration process, your year starts, even if you dont load the other licenses onto other devices for weeks or months later. This also means that if you buy several copies of the software (say, a great sale price), you can just stockpile those licenses for several years until you need them. (Personally, I wouldnt buy more than several years worth, as a lot changes in software, and there may be dramatic upgrades that youd want, such as new cybersecurity protections not yet developed.) 1- The Big Thing: Yes, you have to use a credit or debit card, or PayPayl, to register your Norton product. (For Shame, Norton.) I dont think its much protection to use PayPal to keep your private info from Norton, as both PayPal and Norton would seem to be prime targets for data hackers. 2 - Canceling Auto-Renewal: As Soon as I Finished Registration, I went into the options of my account (you will have to create one if you dont have one already), and I canceled auto-renewal. I didnt have to call anyone (maybe Norton paid attention to the reviews here), but I did have to go through a 3-click process to cancel, as Norton tried to pressure me to keep the auto renewal. (Shame, Norton.) You just keep clicking that you dont want it, and youre done in 10 seconds. 3 - Ease of setting up: The set-up link requires you to first read the Terms of Service, but then didnt take me to the right page for entering the registration code. I went round about through various web pages, but I think logging in, if you have an account, might have been the better way to start. When I did, I finally got the text box to enter the code. (Be sure to have cookies enabled for the set up, but I did not have to disable Adblock Plus or Ghostery, another blocking app.) 4 - Downloading: I already had Norton on my laptop. I did not have to do anything to the old version, including uninstalling it. Norton asks you to download the new version, and installation was very quick and problem-free. With my cable ISP, it took just a couple of minutes. 5 - If this is your first time using Norton, plan a good 30 minutes to go through every option to customize your Norton product as to how you want Norton to function. Its tedious, but after that, new installs retain your settings. 6 - The most important option -- automatic update: Ive been a user of Norton for decades. Ive never had a virus, malware, attack, or other problem. But I also play it smart and careful when Im online, and its critical to keep Norton updated as cyberattacks happen round the clock. This is the only app/software that I allow to automatically update itself, which happens whenever I go online. (I do not leave my computer connected to the Internet 24/7, for security.) The update happens behind the scenes, so to speak, is quick, and never interferes with the function of my browser. I also have Norton automatically scan my computer for viruses, malware, etc. Let Norton do its job. I hope all of that helps you.

> 3 dayIf youve used Norton in the past and dealt with the hassle of renewing with a retail product key when updating multiple devices you already know. If not, be forewarned: Norton will try to get you into renewing at full retail at every corner. About as convoluted as it gets. Why Norton cant just allow a registration of a new paid retail key simply then automatically update existing devices is a mystery. Also the auto renewal with a payment in place will kick in at full price unless you proactively cancel.
