I bought this backpack due to the solid reviews. This past weekend I got the chance to take the pack out for the first time - to Mount Whitney. I could fit a lot of stuff into the pack and it felt really comfortable when adjusted correctly. My big issue is that there is a terrible squeak that comes from the shoulder straps and the hip-belt with every step. It is super distracting and become downright annoying after a while - especially as you just want to hike in the wilderness with no annoying sounds. I checked out reviews after I got back and it turns out that this pack has always had an issue with squeaking. There is a post by an REI rep from 2018, where they claim that they fixed the issue with the packs from that year onwards. However, going by my experience and reading other reviews, it seems they have not fixed the issue ... or it is a QC issue. Some folks dont seem to have this problem. If you buy one, then just make sure you load it up as you would for your camping trip and walk around a bit to ensure that you dont have the squeak. For me personally, Osprey has had enough time to work on this, but it seems they havent been able to address this issue. For $270 before taxes, this pack is expensive - everything about it screams quality, other than this squeak. If Osprey fixed this issue, it would easily be a 5 star product.

This backpack got me through a very difficult back packing trip. If your on the fence about spending this much a pack, just remember that your back will thank you for going with quality. Just make sure you get fitted for it at a place like REI before you purchase. Im 61 and the medium fit like a glove

Just returned from a 60 mile, back country Montana trip. Bag was fantastic, comfortable, and breathable. Many adjustments to fine tune fitting. Great storage and organization. Only complaint (which is very common) is the zipper situation, especially on the hip pockets. They are nearly impossible to open and close with one hand, which is frustrating considering these pockets are designed to be accessed with one hand on the go. Other than that, the bag is awesome!

I give this pack 4 stars only because i havent gone on a long hike yet. But it is really comfortable. The suspension is great and lets your back breath. The straps are wide and cushioned which makes it very comfortable. If youre planning a long hike osprey packs are the best. No sense in getting a light oack that has thin skinny straps, no pockets. And you just end up adding pockets defeating the reason you got it in the first place.

This is my first legitimate hiking pack. This bag is simply amazing and fits like a glove. It takes a little learning on how to pack it properly so you can make room for everything. I have the north face furnace 20 degree sleeping bag and it fits snug into the sleeping bag compartment.

Luckily I bought at REI so I had a year to return. This backpack carries weight excellent, and is designed very well. However for years people have been complaining about the squeaking frame and the hip belt zipper pockets being extraordinarily hard to open. This been going on for at least 10 YEARs and I guess osprey doesnt care about the well-known complaints of people. The only thing theyll do on their warranty is have you send it in AT YOUR EXPENSE and they somehow coat the frame or something to get the squeak out of it, which should have been done in the first place. And the hip belt pockets are also unacceptable. I cant recommend this product

The Atmos AG 65 is the best-fitting, most ventilated and comfortable pack ever made for traditional backpacking trips up to a week or more in duration. The innovative AntiGravity suspension makes it feel like you"re carrying less weight and seamlessly wraps around your body, which means you"ll enjoy every mile more than ever. From easy to use stretch mesh side pockets, Stow-on-the-Go trekking pole attachment, and FlapJacket for lidless use, the Atmos AG 65 is still the top contender.
