Osprey Atmos AG 65 Mens Backpacking Backpack

Great comfortable, light pack. The anti-gravity suspension system works and breathes well. Occasional squeaking but nothing particularly noteworthy. Abundant space to overpack, so I need to check myself with a scale. Love the fact the top is detachable, but do consider if opting to leave it at home that the pack’s folded-up rain cover lives there. This pack travels as well as you pack it. The first trip I took felt awful because I had the weight distributed all wrong-- heavy stuff (tent) hanging off the bottom, stuff strapped to the outside, and 1.5L nalgenes stuffed into the side pockets. After shedding an unnecessary 15 lbs and redistributing the load, my joy factor doubled. WARNING: I have a 33/34 waist. The belt is actually TOO BIG for me on the Large sized pack. Im going to need to gain some weight, lolz, or find a way to buffer my hips. Two days into a backpacking trip, and the Atmos AG 65 was slipping down my backside. Really think things through carefully if youre on the M / L sizing boundary. Caveat: Last backpack I purchased was an early 1980s Jansport external frame model... when I was a pre-teen.

Very great backpack for backpacking the anti-gravity suspension is amazing, the lid is removable and this pack has all the bells and whistles. Very durable with an almighty lifetime guarantee. Not the lightest pack but definitely not the heaviest especially with the AG suspension. I’ve took this pack on a 13 day backpacking trip and it preforms amazing. YouTube-HIKER RAY

Absolutely impressed by the fit and function of this pack. I recently completed a 12mi Hike with 5L of water and all of my gear (35lbs+) and the Osprey Atmos 65AG made it comfortable. The hip and shoulder straps are so robust that they take all of the load off the shoulders. The AG system keeps the pack off the back and allows your back to breathe. Pockets and gear ties are convenient and plentiful. Hip pockets are large and perfectly placed unless you have a larger waist. The lower side pockets stretch and are perfect for water bottles, rain jacket or any ready access item. This pack has too many features but the rain cover is sold separately. The lifetime warranty that Osprey offers is a game changer for this already amazing product.

Used bag one trip! Loved it packed for second trip the following weekend and the outside zipper popped off! Osprey says online 10-12 weeks hoping when I come back from this weekend trip it will be less then that! Will redo this review after dealing with Customer service

This pack holds more than expected. Been using other pack but this pack comes 2nd to no other. Great buy!

Got this for my husband for our overnight trip to Mount Whitney. He loves it. Adjustable, keeps weight off his back, and good storage. We might have gone up bigger If we did it again for storage, but since I carry one too it worked out.

Zaino eccellente, lo schienale è veramente comodo una volta regolato, le tasche sono ben organizzate, i materiali sembrano veramente ottimi. Fantastico il gancio per i bastoni sullo spallaccio sinistro, consente di non dover continuamente togliere lo zaino o chiedere aiuto ai compagni di viaggio. Le tasche laterali per le borracce sono accessibili facilmente avendo doppia apertura, sia verso lo schienale che verso lalto. Lunico possibile difetto è che è a carico dallalto, cosa abbastanza comune ma, a mio avviso, un po noiosa quando si deve prendere qualcosa che non è in cima alla pila. Comoda lapertura inferiore con divisorio che mi consente di riporre la mia attrezzatura fotografica in un compartimento ad accesso rapido, è pensata per il sacco a pelo ma io preferisco usarla per avere rapido accesso a fotocamera e lenti. Lo schienale è fantastico, lascia traspirare la schiena e garantisce una giusta distribuzione del peso. La tasca interna per la sacca idrica alloggia tranquillamente unità da 2L, credo anche da 3L ma non ho provato (la 2L ci sta larga quindi non credo che quella da 3 dia problemi). Sul fronte presenta due tasche laterali nelle quali riporre oggetti a cui si vuole avere un accesso rapido, non sono enormi ma per cartine, fazzoletti e cose simili vanno benissimo. La tasca a mesh elastico frontale si chiude con una clip e può tranquillamente contenere la giacca waterproof per averla a disposizione in ogni momento. Il cappuccio è rimovibile e presenta due tasche, una più grande ed una più piccola, in questultima è presente la clip per agganciare le chiavi e, di default, il copri zaino per la pioggia (che però io ho spostato in una tasca frontale) comunque necessario solo in caso di acquazzoni prolungati visto che lo zaino è comunque abbastanza idrorepellente essendo in tessuto tecnico. Sicuramente consigliato per uscite che richiedono un volume importante dello zaino, risulta però comodo anche se semi-vuoto una volta strette a dovere tutte le fasce di compressione. Non è economico ma il marchio è quasi una garanzia e lo zaino in sé vale la spesa.
