> 3 dayThis requires a little thinking before slapping it on. this dielectric is not a conductor, it is actually an insulator. It is silicone and silicone is an insulator that does not dry out but it does smear everywhere easily so you have to be careful where you put it. It is designed to seal out water around the perimeters of rubber boot connectors in other places you dont want water to enter. It is not designed for the electrical pins, or sockets, etc. Google diakectric uses to make sure you understand before using this product. There is a silver based silicon product that is great for conducting electricity and helping out electrical connections if thats really what you need. This is an insulator not a conductor so when used properly its a great product and does what it supposed to do, insulating electrical boots etc free of water. good for using along the side a rubber spark plug boots, but not on the tip or the electricity flows. bottom line: earned five stars! Use of this product is often misunderstood so do a little research first.

> 3 dayMoisture, salt spray, and salt fog are killers for any electrical parts. The longer metal conducting parts can be protected from the elements the longer they will last.

> 3 dayIf you havent used dielectric grease before, youll like it. A little goes a long way. I use it on the inside of spark plug boots. It seals them, and makes it easier to get them on and off. Any underhood electrical connector benefits from a small amount of this, because it helps seal against water, while making disconnecting/reconnecting much easier. It has roughly the same viscosity as petroleum jelly. It does not harden over time. I dont put it directly on the metal surfaces of the conductors, though, because this grease is an insulator (thus, the name).

> 3 dayGood viscosity for electrical contacts. Easy to spread but not too watery. Similar to Vaseline in consistency. Smooth and consistent. It stays where you put it. Clear. Waterproof. I put it on my Toyota 4Runner master door switch (drivers side), and it stopped the arcing which was causing carbon buildup on the driver window switch contacts. I cleaned the contacts and applied this grease. I hope it will delay the need to buy a new switch from Toyota for $230-$330 for may years.
