love the new pokemon and it have really good mechanics. i was worried about the 3d pokemon design but they work great. the story like is the same than every pokemon game just with slightly differences. the cities are nice to look at and you can feel different feeling for each new city. the character are a little nicer than the other pokemon version but i find them really dorky. i am referring to the rapper in the game. he is totally out of place here, meaning he have nothing to do as a a second main character here and feel like he is an extract in the game.

Bought this game for my daughter and when she put it in her 3ds error pops up. After research its because people powersave. Places like gamestop actually check what you try to sell them, apparently this seller does not.

I bought this game, and a Nintendo 3DS XL at the same time. I am a male between 18-24, and I used to play Pokemon when I was younger. I actually remember playing the Red and Blue versions on a regular GameBoy! Pokemon has definitely evolved since then. What I found nice is that they actually included the original Pokemon as well, bringing back memories from when I was younger. The game still has the same concept, pick your Pokemon, train them, and beat the eight (8) gym leaders. It has a large amount of new features that come with it compared to what I remember playing, but it adds to the fun and adventure of the game. I would definitely recommend this game.

As a advid fan of Pokemon Ive been playing these games since the original Red and Blue, Ive played just about every version on the Gameboy color, the Gamboy Advance, and DS. Now Ive finally got Pokemon Y in my hands and what do I think of it? Its a good game. No doubt, I got it today and Ive only just barely put it down. Lets take a look at what were getting with this package. The graphics for this game are the best for any main series Pokemon game, ever. Gone are the flat 2D graphics, these are in fresh new 3D, and it looks fantastic. I love how this game looks, walking around cities, the character models look awesome, and the Pokemon battles are much like battles from Pokemon Stadium, or XD. So great job on that. The formula is, for the most part, unchanged. Youre a boy/girl whos been given a shiny new Pokemon, Grass, Fire, or Water, and youre on a quest to catch em all. All the while collecting Gym Badges like theyre hotcakes. I cant say much about the story as Ive only beaten one Gym, and just recently got my second starter, but so far its looking like the story wont have anything new to offer, which honestly I dont care too much about. I dont expect a heartwrenchingly deep story from Pokemon. Though, I do have a few nitpiks that I am annoyed about. This game feels, compared to older Pokemon games, a bit too easy. I dont really expect Pokemon games to be overly difficult, but Id at least like some challenge. The first Gym was laughably easy, which could be partially tuned to the fact that I choose the fire starter, and got the Wifi Torchic, and the first gym uses bug type Pokemon, but even so it feels...yeah. And the fact that i was given an Experince Share, technically an Exp All, right after the first gym...yeah. Not sure what youre trying to do Gamefreak, but I would at least like there to be some challenge, even my eight year old self, the age I was when I first picked up Pokemon, wouldnt find this all that hard. At least up the difficulty a little, dont give us Experince Share that early, I dont care if people complain about grinding, thats what you do in a RPG. But other than that. I dont really have many complaints, the game looks great, its fun, if a bit on the easy side but its still good. I look forward to beating this game.

It was pretty good. Very much liked the addition of Super Training, which made EV training much easier (but still tedious). I also like the great verity of Pokemon that you could catch on a single play through. Wonder Trading is amazing cause you never know what youll get, I even got a few legendaries. Story wise, not the strongest. Team Flare (the bad guys), were boring as sin, and there wasnt really much development. Playing through is pretty easy the the new EXP.Share, which give half the the exp gained by the battling Pokemon to your entire party. This makes it easy to level newly hatched Pokemon to be equal to the rest of your party.

Ive been a fan of the franchise since Sapphire. The latest installment does not disappoint. Ill give this to Game Freak, they keep tweaking the game just enough to keep it interesting. In the latest flavors you can buy new clothes for your trainer, and interact with your Pokemon by giving them a scratch on the head. The one feature that has me addicted at the moment, is the Wonder Trade. Even moreso than rushing from gym to gym in search of badges, I keep snatching up Pokemon and thrusting them into the cosmic slot machine. You put a Pokemon out there and randomly receive one back. Ive landed everything from the most generic fodder to shiny rares beamed to me from other versions and countries. It really is pretty addictive. And as far as the game goes, its pretty engaging, as well. The graphics are oh-so-pretty and the battle/puzzle/repeat methodology never seems to get old. With old favorites like Pikachu and Charmander, and a whole new class of Pokemon in the Fairy type, theres all kinds of critters to catch. At the end of the day, if youre a fan of the franchise... theres a lot to like about the newest Pokemon adventures.

What I liked: -Nice graphics -Small improvements that make the game easy and more play friendly (for example you can not see if a TM can be learned by a Pokemon in your team without having to select use.) -return of berries and improved berry system -It took me 70 hours to finish the game. (Long gameplay) -Nice new little features such as O-powers that allow you to refill your local friends pokemons HP for example -All Pokemon benefit from the expshare -Most of the new Pokemons look GREAT (except Doublade and Klefki) WHAT I DISLIKED: -very bad sound track compared to the previous games -VERY BAD 3D... Worst I have seen... Shin megami tensei 4, Kid Icarus and Fire Emblem had good 3d Graphics but Pokemon X and Y has very bad 3d effects. When 3d is tuned up all the way you still hardly notice it... And the framrate drops A LOT!. Only battle are in 3d but the double battles or horde battles are viewable in 2d only -Nothing to do after the defeat of the Pokemon League... In black and white there was a tone to do.. I played my black version 320 hours. But my Y version only 77 hours and it took me 72 hours to beat the game... There is no place to train your pokemons except for the Pokemon league but they dont grow stronger after you completed the main story -very bad story (Had lots of potential... Mega mewtwo! What a waste of not using it in the story... The return of team rocket! Giovanni still has DNA from Mewtwo left [He should.. He created him. While mewtwo was still in development Giovanni toke DNA from Mewtwo just in Case] and tried to create a more powerful clone and created Mega Mewtwo... All other Mega Pokemons are a result of Giovanni changing their DNA to create more Powerful Pokemons... Now that is a idea... But instead they went with team flare... I would mind team flare if the story behind them were good Overall: A very fun game and wont disappoint newcomers but People like me that played every single game in the series will feel a little disappointed overall... But I still had lots of fun.. Just... I like Pokemon Heartgold, XD or Black more because of endless content after you completed the game

I was skeptical about the new generation of Pokémon, being such a huge fan of the earlier versions of the game and such a critic of later generations, but I have to say I was truly impressed. This game was not only fun, but the graphics were amazing and it was the perfect length as far as game time goes-- not too long and not too short like some of the other generations. One thing I enjoyed the most was the variety of Pokémon from earlier generations available from the start of game play. It was refreshing to see old favorites available with amazing graphics without having to wait until I beat the entire game and unlock the National Pokédex in order to catch them. There was something special about taking on new gym leaders using a new generation of Pokémon with old classics. Great move on The Pokémon Companys part!

I got a package back on 12/3 thinking it was this game. It was supposed to be this game, but I order so much on Amazon and didnt think I would have to open it up until I was ready to wrap it. Well I waited and opened it on 12/18 freaking out because it was actually a childrens book (and there was no packing slip on top of that). After talking to Amazon, they sent me the game and gave me 2 day shipping so I would have it. That is what I love about Amazon. Not only did they do that, but my son has not stopped playing this game. Great quality and price.

After Pokemon Black and White 2 launched last year, I was concerned for the future of Pokemon games. I knew theyd eventually return their former glory, but it was a question of when. The time has come. Pokemon X/Y reinvents the franchise by removing tedious grinding(game progression being tied to spending excess hours doing similar battles) and adding in new game mechanics, such as mega evolution. The game also features a much improved 3D world. The game feels similar to Pokemon Colosseum, which I absolutely loved. If you have been waiting for a point to jump back into Pokemon or want to give it a go for the first time, this is a great entry point.

The Next Evolution in Pokemon comes to Nintendo 3DS.
