Its black dye and it works great

great product I was able to dye an xl men’s brown suede jacket with just two sessions here’s how to use or atleast what worked for me 1. soak fabric entirely in hot water 2. fill sink/bucket whatever you’re using HALF WAY with hot tap water 3. fill other half with BOILED water 4. add one cup of salt 5. add two tablespoons of dish soap 6. stir until dissolved then add entire bottle of dye 7. add fabric/clothing item and you MUST agitate the fabric for the next 30 minutes straight ! so keep mixing around with tongs or long metal spoon, this is key 8. after 30 minutes drain the black water and rinse fabric with cold tap water, until water runs clear 9. wash in washer on cold with NO detergent 10. air dry or add to dryer and you’re done

I use this dye for my work jeans and solid black clothing that fades. Last for months. The dye is 3 dollars at Walmart though but they were out.

I can’t believe I spent $17.61 to ruin my almost brand new pants. I wanted a better result, so I used 3 bottles to dye a very light seersucker pants. Can I get a refund with 3 empty bottles?

This makes my dark clothes look new again. AND since we are not allowed to wear jeans at work, I heavily dyed some of my capris that are NOT really jeans, but looked a bit like jeans. Now, they look more like slacks, so I can be complaint and comfortable at the same time!

Took advice from previous reviews. I presoaked the jeans (90% cotton 10% spandex) in hot water, used 5 gallons of boiling water, dissolved 1C salt in boiling water, added half water to tote, added 1 bottle of ink, stir, added pants, added remaining water and additional 1/2 bottle of ink, stirred and made sure the jeans were fully submerged in the solution and let sit for 12 hours. Rinsed with hot water in the sink and finished with a normal wash and dry cycle. Very happy with the results!

The product did the job but the clothing was very difficult to get the remaining dye rinsed out at the end of the process.

Worthless product. Used the color remove RIT beforehand, followed directions to the T, used double the amount of dye to be sure, and everything is purple. For the money, should have just spent it on new clothes.
