Rit Liquid Fabric Dye Black 8 Ounces, Pack of 3

I wear a lot of black and the problem with black clothing is that it fades over time. I’ve been using Rit dye for years to extend the life of my black cotton and denim for much longer than the intended shelf life, which is a great thing if you’re like me and are very particular about the items your wear.

Alright. Cheaper in some places, but nowhere sells dye around where I live.

Pretty self explanatory. This was exclusively created for hairdressers who can’t keep color off of their black clothes. Saves me from buying new jeans every week. Thanks Rit.

This did not dye my fabric.

It dyed my clothes black.

My blue jeans and dark blue work shirts faded. According to a YouTube video I dyed with black. I used a top loader washing machine. It was large capacity I had three or four jeans and three or four shirts. Also one black sweater that was faded. My jeans and shirt or the darkest blue now. This is how I wanted them. I use full capacity on the hottest setting I made sure my water heater Hottest setting. I had the clothes inside already as it was filling up once it was almost full and before it started turning I used 3 bottles. I kept resetting The washing machine so that the clothes would be in there for an hour. I made sure the clothes were able to move within the dye. After an hour I let it drain and fill to the rinse cycle then I stopped it. Now that it was filled because of the rinse cycle then I use the color fast Formula to lock in the color even more I let that drain the washing machine filled up again and now I added the detergent and washed. Wanted filled up again to rinse I put a smaller amount of detergent to wash again and then I let it do a full wash and rinse I dry the clothes did the hottest water possible with the fullest load and use bleach and cleaned out the washing machine and that was it.

Really easy to use and last a fair amount of time. I cannot imagine buying another brand!

Not worth the $. Ive tried to dye 3 pairs of pants. So far, Ive used 2 of the bottles on the same pair of pants and they still look faded.
