Roxio Easy CD & DVD Burning 2 | Disc Burner & Video Capture [PC Disc]

I bought this for one reason only: to burn MP4 slide shows that I created to make a DVD. After weeks of trying, I still cant do it. After weeks of waiting to get help from Corel/Roxio technical support, all of their fixes didnt work. Every time I burn a DVD the video comes out fine but the sound is distorted so badly that you cant make out anything. The sound is good at the start but deteriorates as the DVD plays until after about 20 minutes in, nothing can be understood. Worse yet, when I requested a refund from Roxio, they inform me that they have a 30 day policy. FYI, I am using the latest version of Windows 10. I just totally lost the money I spent on this. I dont recommend anyone purchase this, but if you do at least test it immediately, because it will take 2 weeks or more for tech service to give you any advice if it doesnt work for you. Then you can keep it within the Roxio 30 day refund policy.

I have used the original version of the software since 2011. Recently I purchased a new computer & was concerned about installing an application that was 9 years old. So, I purchased the newest version that Roxio released in 2019. It looks and feels the same as the prior version & installed just fine on Windows 10 version 20H2.

I have been in the software and hardware industry(Silicon Valley) for 30 years and this software was obviously pushed out the door by management to meet a deadline well before it was ready. Roxio management should be embarrassed. Yes for very simple things it is simple to use and a no brainer... sort of When going to burn a DVD, on a Windows 10, Windows pops up the label popup and the Roxio popup to burn the DVD. You enter a title, then both disappear into oblivion. You have to reclick to burn the DVD, and it finally takes off. I go to add chapters and if I manually move the slider to locate chapters, I lose the sound. You have to let it run on its own and catch the chapter locations as they go by. Really??? a very basic function is broken. I dont know of any QA organization that would let something this blatant go by unless pressured by management.. Buyer definitely beware

The absolute worst since Corel took over on Roxio. I have been a Roxio user since the early days of Windows. Ripping and burning CDs for myself and friends. What happened Roxio? The install at times is a failure and then I would have to uninstall and reinstall again. But the absolute worst thing about either Easy CD & DVD Burning 2 or the more expensive Creative NXT 9, you have eliminated the ability of cross fading. This was the greatest effect when Burning my final project. Having songs with no gaps in between tracks is cross fading. Because you have eliminated the ability of cross fading, I will not purchase another Roxio product again. Unless it is offered again in an upgrade

Having gotten a new Windows 10 computer, I decided to also upgrade to this version of Roxio, which I purchased at Best Buy. When trying to burn a large set of songs, in the MP3 format, I was prompted to insert a dual layer DVD, not a CD. I could not burn my playlist, and worse, I could get no help from Roxio support. Thinking that maybe the Roxio disk was flawed, I removed the program from my computer, and downloaded one from Amazon. Same result. When I decided to make a much smaller playlist and record it in the normal CD format. the program recorded the song out of the sequence I wanted. I used Roxio on my two older computers with no issue. This is just a huge disappointment. I dont know who to turn to for help, because no one from Roxio has stepped up to help me or offer any help.

I have owned previous versions of this as well. My first exposure to this product was included in the software on a new computer. The reason I continue to buy this product is because Windows updates their software making it difficult to figure out how to create CDs & DVDs. Whereas this product doesnt change too much on their interface. (I didnt put a rating on Tech Support because it was easy to figure out)
