> 24 hourWow, this thing is so fast!! Its paired with a Ryzen 3600, so it has PCI-e 4.0 unlocked. With read speeds of 3,500MB/s, it loads windows nearly instantly. Games load so much faster than the last gen of ssds. Write speeds approach 2,500MB/s, which I have never gotten close to saturating. This thing is speedy. The motherboard I got came with a heatsink for the ssd, so it has never had to thermal throttle. Not saying it would without it, but I like the extra piece of mind. Under the heatsink, which is the same pattern as the motherboard, you cant even tell there is anything there. So it also makes for a really clean looking install. If you are trying to build small form factor PC, this will save you a lot of room vs an internal ssd. Not to mention you dont need to run power or data cables, this again makes your build look that much cleaner.

> 24 hourI have a Lenovo Think Center computer. It had a Chinese M.2 originally in there. Once I replaced the original with this Samsung M.2 970 EVO the difference is amazing, now faster and it produce less heat. Highly recommended.

> 24 hourSo I purchased this product, installed a heatsink on it because quite frankly you should always do that on an m.2, up to 10C cooler with the right airflow VS not having a heatsink, but upon booting up, it simply wasnt there. First assumption was I received a dead on arrival part, but upon opening Diskpart through an elevated command prompt, and using the list disk command, the device did display as plugged in, and my Aida64 SensorPanel also showed temperature readings from this m.2 as its set up to be modular with what ever I plug in.

> 24 hourThis is a very fast hard drive. I use it as the primary drive to hold the Operating System. Its easy to format. The biggest issue I have with it is that it did not come with the M.2 screw to hold it down to my motherboard. My motherboard came with one but it was only to cover the hole. It wasnt long enough to hold this drive. For the amount this hard drive cost, they really shouldve included the screw. It shouldve come with a double-sided tape as well to for vibration but it didnt. I had plunder for both of those. Yes its fast but being incomplete makes it a tad pricey.

> 24 hourNot sure if everyone knows this or not, but if you want to boot from it, youll have to make sure your bios is set to UEFI. Or it wont see it as a boot device.

> 24 hourSamsungs data transfer utility was easy to use. (Although it messed up my .png files for some odd reason to where I couldnt open them. Luckily I didnt care. Havent noticed any other side effects) The drive itself is really fast although I havent noticed a big different vs my old Samsung 840 Evo. However, upon doing a performance test, this drive was about 5-6 times faster. Honestly the 840 was still fast enough and I dont really notice the difference within my applications (most upgraded for space), but its nice to know the performance of this drive was an upgrade.
