Bought this SSD to replace the anemic .5 T in my new Lenovo laptop. Works great and my storage worries are gone. Easy to install and instantly recognized by the laptop running Win 10.

Bought this product for my husbands gaming desktop because of game requirements. The product is excellent. I did however take away one star as it did not come with a necessary screw to secure it into place, and I had to make a special trip out for one as the extras we had lying around did not fit.

Only bad thing about it is if you dont have a small enough screw driver for the tiny screw that bolts it to your motherboard it makes it really difficult to install.

Cant beat the speed of the nvme interface. Fastest i/o currently available. I upgraded from the 960 pro to the 970 2tb. Also has opal 2 support , using a pba image from sedutil for locking and unlocking the drive. Full hardware encryption

I have used many SSD drives over the years and Samsung makes the most consistent drive you can buy. The best mix of speed, reliability and quality for the money.

Huge upgrade in speed. I have an Omen 17 gaming laptop that came with 12GB RAM, core i7 and a Samsund SSD. I previously replaced the RAM with 32GB of the fastest and best available and that helped alleviate some performance issues when running multiple instances of MEMU (I run 5 accounts at a time) along with having other programs running concurrently. But they still took awhile to load and other programs running at the same time would as well. After installing this SSD everything loaded faster and performance was noticeably better again.

If you are not a write-intensive user, get this instead of the 970 Pro, their specs are virtually the same. The 970 EVO retains the lightning speed while offering a greater value than the pro . Professional users should get the 970 series instead of Intel Optane because while theoretically intel optane has a slightly higher random access speed (manufacturer’s specs), in benchmarking and real world scenarios the difference between them is negligible. Plus, the 970s cost much less than Intel Optane.
