> 3 dayInstalled the Samsung 970 NVMe SSD 1TB in my Macbook A1398 yesterday. So far, so good – haven’t had a chance to test it hard in the real world, but my before and after read/write stats show an impressive improvement. Apple SSD - 1876/1255 vs. Samsung 970 - 3028/2572 (MB/Sec).

Greater than one weekWorks great, incredibly fast, tons of storage. Installation is easy if you know what you’re doing. Make sure you still have the necessary M2 stand-off screw in your motherboard for installation.

> 3 dayFirst off I am not a casual user. I move extremely large GB files minimum 3 to 5 GB files constantly. I use large Photoshop files daily. And stream large GB movie files across my network all day & night. The speed of these EVO drives are spectacular. Some people are reporting that you will see not perceptible difference between the EVO drive and other M.2 drives simply are wrong and theybdo not understand the following. All M.2 drives are backwards compatible with each other. However all M.2 drives are NOT NVMe drives. Standard M.2 drives use the SATA connection that standard 3.5 inch and 2.5 inch hard drives use in your system with power and data cables attached. Those connections have speed limitations. So a standard M.2 will only function at SATA speeds. Enter NVMe M.2. This is a completely different animal. NVMe M.2 does NOT communicate thru the SATA bus. It communicates directly with the PCIe bus. Therefore speeds jump from a SATA III max of 600MB transfer speeds to well over 3000MB transfer speeds via the PCIe bus. So if your motherboard only supports Standard M.2 which equals SATA III. Then No you are not going to see any gains in speed over bargain M.2 drives. But if you actually take the time to research and find out if your system natively supports NVMe M.2 drives then BOOM! The doors blow open and the data transfer speeds are again Incredible.

> 3 dayGreat price compared to what 1TB Samsung SSDs costed a few years ago. Works great for new large file sizes of modern games. Definitely, a big step towards completely replacing spinning HDDs.

> 3 dayAmazing how far we have come with the speed and size of our components. This is the first time I have had to upgrade a PC since about 2010 and these are very welcomed changed.

Greater than one weekRecently upgraded my system and decided to go NVMe after reading all the awesome performance benchmarks; boy, Im glad I did. Booting Windows 10 Pro from this drive is incredibly fast! Given the price point over the PRO series, this is a great bargain! Highly recommended! 10/10!
