> 3 dayWhen thinking about the pros and cons, I can normally knit pick at things, however there really wasn’t much as a con. This WiFi smart dimmable light switch was simple to install, intuitive to use, and connected easily with the Meross app. Using the app was easy and self explanatory when setting up the switch, I had them up in a matter of 5 min. Scheduling my on/off times worked nicely and I liked the options of using sunset/sunrise as the base time so that it adjusts as daylight adjusts through the year. Has good WiFi range and although at one point it hiccuped with a slight delay when dimming for testing, killing the app and restarting resumed nicely for the switch they was pretty far from the router. The one thing I think could make this even better is having the ability to set dim % with the scheduling so it doesn’t just use the last setting. Note: you do need a neutral line and make sure to connect the ground as well to ensure the switch is properly grounded.

09-06-2025This is a good Homekit compatible switch, simple to use and reliable. I have one of their standard switches too and Im really happy that I found Meross. They work well and are inexpensive which is important when youre trying to outfit an entire house. My only criticism, because this switch has built-in wiring you are forced to use wire nuts on all the connections. This makes for a VERY cramped box when youre installing. The wire nuts in the box are huge. Im not sure why they didnt just use standard push-in or screw connectors.

> 3 dayI wired one of these up to a pair of table lamps sharing an extension cord. I cut the plug end off the extension cord and wired a 3-prong power plug so it could be plugged into a wall outlet. Dont try this unless you have a grasp of electrical wiring. Works great with Google after installing the Mecross app. After plugging it in, it immediately wanted to connect to wifi which was done through the app. It connected in 15 seconds and has stayed connected ever since. Google Home takes over the Mecross app and now controls all on-off and dimming functions. I now have lamps I can control remotely. This is the way these devices should be done in the future....no hubs!

Greater than one weekThis dimmer is great. All you need is WiFi in your house. No hub is needed like some systems require. The installation was easy, and the eHomeLife app gives you the instructions. Start the dimmer installation via the app before physical installation, because the app tells you all the required steps. You do need some electrical wiring knowledge for installation. If you are not electrical wiring literate, I suggest you find a friend who is. It takes about 10 minutes to install. A single gang white face plate is included, along with good metal core wire nuts. Note that your electric box does need to have the neutral wire for this dimmer to work. The only slight down side is the dimmer only comes in white, but not a big deal as you can see from the picture I included. (The face plate in the picture, I purchased separately.) Interfacing to Alexa (Echo Dot) was easy also (the app gives you the steps), and you can turn on/off the dimmer, and set the light level. Examples: Alexa turn on living room light to 50 percent, Alexa change living room light level to 100 percent. Alexa turn living room light off.

> 3 dayI was able to install both 3way switches and set the switches in less than an hour. The two switches in the box are actually not identical. One has a neutral (white) wire and the other dont. I had a quick question to confirm my understanding and they responded to my email within a few hours. Great company and would check out their other products.

> 3 dayReceived the product a few weeks ago. I was able to connect it to my foyer chandelier and works exactly as I had hoped. Im now able to turn it on that light with my Alexa echo as well as dim it to the setting I would like. It was easy to install (just in case, I did some extra YouTube researching on how to install but the Meross App did explain how to connect it pretty well). Once connected, everything worked as intended. The Amazon listing was helpful and very informational about the product.

> 3 dayAfter latest update the switches are working perfectly. My original review is below. I was super excited by this product and it worked great...for about two weeks. Now the manual switch doesn’t work. I cannot turn the light on or off without my phone. I had a similar problem a couple of days ago and hit the circuit breaker to try and reset the product and that seemed to work for a few days and now I’m back to the manual switch failing again. It’s a bit frustrating. I’m hoping to find a way to update the product in hopes it will correct it he problem or else it will be returned. Original review: I don’t usually get very excited about light switches, but I am about this one. For a couple of years now I have been looking for a decent blue tooth enabled light switch that is dimmable as well as not overly expensive to run my bedroom lights. The switch is by the door and it’s a good distance from my bed, so I have often tripped over a dog toy or slipper while making my way to the bed. If I could only shut the lights off with my phone which is right beside me on my night table? I’ve tried a couple of pricey Bluetooth switches and returned them for not working well. The Meross smart WiFi dimmer switch is everything I wanted. Easy to install, nice looking led’s on the switch, and a very simple app to control the lights with, even when I’m away on vacation. Like many apps I am sure there will be some glitches, but so far I found it very straight forward and easy to use. The install was just as simple since the instructions pop up on your phone and walk you through it one step at a time. My other light switches run a black a white and a green (ground) wire. However after looking closely I noticed that the white wire coming from the switch was actually also connected to the black wire from the wall. Basically that is the break that the switch then opens or closed to allow the power to continue. Behind the switch was the white wire which you need to make this product work correctly. I attached white to white, the two blacks to the now two blacks after I separated them from the switch, and the green to the green. The switch came with wire twist connectors so it was really easy. I then turned the power back on and connected the WiFi and I was done. Less than 10 minutes for me. It’s been working great to date, and my package even came with two switches to make the price per unit even better. I couldn’t be happier.

> 3 dayThis is my 2nd set of 3 way switches from Meross. Had an electrician do the install because Im just too unfamiliar with the 3 way configuration. After he was done with the install, he was impressed with the switches so much, he ended up buying a set for his house. The Meross app is incredibly easy to use and navigate through. Highly recommend.

Just the Facts
> 3 dayThis light switch replaced and old Intermatic model that you had to program at the switch. Was a little cumbersome to make schedule changes to the Intermatic. Just another FYI - the switch has status indicator lights, even a red one, when switched to off. Therefore, if you putting in a room where you prefer completed darkness you will have to make a compromise or McGyver a solution. Other posts have indicated that this was not always the case. Overall happy with this Black Friday purchase.

> 3 dayEverything is included with this switch kit. They even include labels for the different wires. There are some basic tools required (screwdriver, needle-nosed pliers, and a voltage meter). The Meross app takes through setting up, step by step. It is very easy to set up. Once I got it all setup and linked to the app, it was great! I have mine connected to my Alexa and SmartThings. The Meross app also has some functions, like a timer. I set my timer to dim the light after bedtime, which gives just enough light to walk around at night. Very impressed with this product for the value!
