Great for spreading wood glue. Ive cleaned it after the few times Ive used it, but any dried glue comes off the flexible surface easily. It makes quick work of spreading wet glue.

I am using this brayer to spread acrylic paint on a gelli plate. It is working quite well doing that. I chose the soft rubber brayer rather than the hard rubber because another reviewer suggested that. Therefore I am not familiar with the hard rubber, but the soft one is not as soft as I had thought it was going to be. Like I am pretty sure this brayer is going to hold up just fine over time. The brayer spreads the acrylic paint out on the gelli plate very nicely, smoothing the paint out into an even layer. Then the idea is to use various tools (most home made) to make a design in the paint. The last step is to place a piece of paper to cover the gelli plate and I just ran my hands over the back of the paper. Then lift the paper off and lay it out paint side up to dry. Voila! If you need instruction on how to make a gelli plate, I just got my instructions from YouTube (it used lots of gelatin, rubbing alcohol, water and glycerin).

This brayer is a piece of garbage. It never once rolled evenly and there was always a spot that would not ink up, no matter what I tried. Save your money and time, and do not order this. Incredibly frustrating.

I didn’t totally understand the need for something like this until o was embossing copper on my cricut. Now I don’t know how I managed to cut vinyl without it. It saves me so much headache and ads to the longevity of my mats. I’m so happy I did this! I had a huge order (45 super complicated and 75 gifts in about a week) this helped so much!

I use this guy to spread wood glue. It works great. Spreads a ice even thick coat of glue very fast. Easy clean up with warm water.

I am a 5th grade teacher and recently came across gelli plate printing. This year I taught my students a few different techniques using this method of art. I purchased this brayer to roll acrylic paint onto a gelatin printing plate. It works great for this purpose. The only issue that I have had with this brayer is that my students dont wash the paint off soon enough and the brayer can be difficult to clean. This is more of an issue with 35 fifth graders using these tools than an issue with the brayer itself. It is well made and good quality in my opinion. I have purchased 4 of them and all are in perfect working order after one year of use by two classes (70 kids). I would definitely purchase this product again!

Love using this product for abstract painting and cold wax. Super easy to clean and use.
