Speedball Deluxe Soft Rubber Brayer, 4-Inch

Maybe Im doing something wrong here but the roller sucked up all the ink and stuck to it. There was wayyyy too much ink, i even tried to wipe a lot of it off and got such poor consistency. My ink spread and looked terrible! I couldnt even wipe off the ink it was very strangled. I ended up using the roller that the lifestyle letterpress kit came with. It was small and hard but worked much better than the speedball. Not sure what I did wrong but I did put a tiny drop of ink, spread it evenly and rolled it on my plates. I was able to have success with the brayer my kit came with but not this one.I couldnt get the ink off of it either. I ended up just throwing it away. What a waste of money.

My wife and I are using this for vinyl wor with our Cricut machine. Often times its necessary when adhering the vinyl to a sign or applying transfer tape to the vinyl to apply pressure across the whole cutting. While certain areas may require special attention, this is a great start across the whole area. The SOFT rubber brayer is helpful when the surface you are applying vinyl to has a texture as the soft rubber helps to conform to an irregular surface and push the vinyl into the texture. This is the only use I have for the brayer so I cant comment on its use for inking/print making and such.

Works great on Gelli Plate!

I use this for Gelli Printing. It works great, spreads the paint evenly and smoothly, and is fairly easy to clean. I also have the smaller one, and am buying another in this size.

Not too much to review, Speedball makes decent art supply products and tools and this brayer is just what I needed for my photo transfers!

Works wonders for glue ups!

Like the 4 inch brayer better. This is a little large for my purposes, but may prove useful in the future.

I use this for spreading glue on wood working projects. Works great.

Perfect for rolling in acrylics in patterns, just the right size for my needs. Easy to clean between operations

Didnt roll evenly! The middle didnt make contact with the ink in various blotches around the middle.
