Speedball Deluxe Soft Rubber Brayer, 4-Inch

This is a nice size roller. I use this roller on my job as a flexographic plate mounter to roll the plates down on their adhesive to plate cylinders or sleeves. These do a fantastic job and are much easier on the hands.

I purchased the 2 roller, and will probably grab other sizes as needed. Overall happy with the roller, but the fit and finish for a $13 roller is sorely lacking. The unit I received had sharp burs on the axle that holds the roller, and the bracket that holds the axle was bent. Nothing worth returning the unit over, but disappointing for the price paid.

It works great but it is a hassle to clean sometimes. Always make sure you wash it as soon as you’re done using it or it will only be more difficult once dry.

This was for a gift, and the recipient loved it. I got it to use with the Gelli Printing plate.

I love this Brayer. It is the perfect size for me. It rolls out beautifully and its easy to clean. I would definitely recommend this product!

Brand new and smiles fresh, I will use for Gelli plate mono-printing with RVS BFK white paper and Golden Open Acrylic with gel medium and stencils. Tisia Blackburn recommended using a two 6 inch soft rubber brayer by Speedball, but I decided to get a 6 inch and a 4 inch brayer so that I could keep them apart and know the difference between the two. I may do some smaller Gelli plate printing like the 5 by 7. Right now, I have an 8 by 10 Gelli plate. I have not used this material yet, but have a workshop later today with Tisia Blackburn at the University Art store in downtown Sacramento. Tisia is a representative of Golden and has her art studio in San Francisco. I have taken a digital image transfer art workshop with her last year. There may be other brayers out there, but this is top of the line and one of the best.
