> 3 dayIf you are familiar with the very high-quality Starrett combination squares, you would likely be disappointed with this tool, which is not of the same quality. The scale is definitely not laser etched into aluminum although the body of the tool is aluminum and well made. It appears to be a nicely printed applied plastic scale. But there must be some distortion in the print or application, because when the full angle cut is at 90°, the scale indicates the miter cut needs to be 45.5°. For a tool this expensive, that is not accurate enough. There are other seemingly comparable products around on Amazon for about 1/5 the cost of this item. I was hoping to get a very high quality tool - this, unfortunately, is definitely not one.

> 3 dayAs a Starrett user, I never wavered when it came time to replace an old cheep digital protractor with a Starrett. The Starrett Quality made in the USA is all I needed to see. If this was available when I bought my first one, I would have bought Starrett the first time around. Would I recommend this, A big fat YES.

> 3 dayThe Starrett 505A-12 ProSite 12-Inch Dial Protractor is hard to read and hard to use, so it just hangs on the wall most of the time. A digital bevel gauge would have been a better choice for me.

Greater than one weekIs a great tool to find those odd angles and make the right cuts done right the first time, just practice on scraps before till you get a feeling of the tool.

> 3 dayI have owned this protractor for a couple of months now, and have had excellent results with it. The early versions (I had one a year ago) that had two arrows on the dial <------> versus a single arrow like they have now }-----> were not as accurate (as much as a half degree difference between the two arrow head readings!). I also have the Bosch electronic miter finder, which is an excellent tool, but this one sees a lot more use these days as it is not as fragile, and is smaller/easier to carry.

> 3 dayThis product makes an novice look like a pro! It makes mitering easy as reading a scale and transferring that number to the miter saw.........perfect each and every time. Wishin I had this yards of stock ago.
