> 3 dayThis thing is incredibly cheaply constructed and plasticy! The interface is ridiculously non-intuitive and the buttons barely work. Trying to use the touch screen is nothing if not nearly impossible. I had a TI-86 that worked great for over 20 years, and this thing is truly garbage by comparison. I would also like to review the reviewers of this product because I see this again and again. I couldnt understand how anyone could give this pos more than one star, so I looked at the four star reviews...The vast majority of people have really negative stuff to say about this pos, but they still gave it four stars!!!? People: you really need to grow up and give star ratings that reflect what you say not rate something high because psychologically you dont want to admit you got ripped off!

> 3 dayThis is a very powerful and professional calculator. I have been using the TI84 since middle school, and now that I am almost done with college (majoring in mechanical engineering), I thought it was time to upgrade to a more powerful calculator, and I can say that I am very impressed with this calculators abilities. I wish that I had this going through all of my math classes in college. Getting used to the keystrokes is very difficult and will likely take years for me to feel as comfortable as I do currently with my TI84, but it is worth it. I highly recommend this product for someone that is in advanced mathematics (Calc, Lin. Algebra, Differential Eq, Statistics, etc). I would not recommend this to someone in middle school (and maybe even high school) as this is a very advanced calculator and a lot of its features wouldnt even be used by a middle or high schooler. I hope this helps.

> 3 dayWith the price point of new TI Graphing calculators being so close, from the standpoint of cost alone it makes sense to get one of these rather than a new TI-83 Plus, TI-84 Color, or TI-89 Titanium, since this calculator can do so much more than any of those other models. The user interface (in terms of buttons and what is on-screen) of the nspire series of calculators strays fairly drastically from the traditional TI graphing calculators, so if you are buying this calculator for school, you should plan to spend some time out of class getting used to how to do things on it. You dont want to be struggling through calculations when in a time crunch of a test, for example. I recommended this calculator for all serious math and engineering students. Im so glad I bought one.

> 3 dayI was a loyal HP-fan for 34 years, starting with the HP28s back in college. As an electrical engineer, I progressed through several upgrades up to the HP50g. Then I got the HP Prime, and at first I hated it, so ignored it for almost a year. But then it grew on me, and I kicked myself for not adapting to change sooner. But, there was always something annoying about the Prime, where for every convenience, there were almost two inconveniences. Then I decided to try the TI CX II CAS Student Software trial for 30 days, and I was blown away so I bought the calculator from Amazon! Why, oh why, did I torture myself with HP for so long?!?! Nearly everything about the TI is easier, and despite looking student-centric (which could be interpreted by some as a toy), I promise that this will be your work calculator. The document-based interface is exactly what I needed - I rewrote my HP applications for TI, including a few new ones, in a fraction of the time (the language is easier, the editor more intuitive, and the dedicated keyboard destroys HPs multi-click, illegible color scheme, keyboard). I wont bother looking at HP anymore - Im sticking with TI. There is no way to describe the experience with this calculator here - just buy it and if you dont like it, return it (but you wont!).

> 3 dayIF YOU ARE A HIGH SCHOOL/COLLEGE STEM STUDENT, BUY THIS PRODUCT IMMEDIATELY. It pulls through. Not only does it do algebra flawlessly, but it can also do very complicated tasks like taking integrals, generating derivatives, and even solving systems of equations. The one thing to note is the learning curve. It is pretty significant. However, use it alongside all your work, and after a semester or so, youll be a pro. You can even load notes and such into its memory. I love it!

> 3 dayThis calculator is amazing! This product comes with a key for the software to be installed on your mac/windows device as well. The calculator is incredibly powerful for graphing in 2D and 3D. I would easily recommend this calculator for anyone that is trying to self-study math or is reviewing concepts. The computer algebra system (CAS) is quite powerful. I see many students relying on this to do their homework in the calculus sequence... I would not recommend students who are currently enrolled in new math classes to use this calculator as this CAS is too tempting for most students to constantly use. The ability to program in python is really cool, but in all fairness most students program from their computer but save the file to the calculator so it can be read later. I love this calculator and would recommend this to pretty much any student in his or her junior or senior year. Most math classes in these years wouldnt need this functionality, but the CAS can help validate the logic of these students.

> 3 dayThe computer algebra system that comes on this particular calculator is a game changer. I’m a mechanical engineering student at Texas A&M university, and this calculator saved my a** last semester in thermo, mechanics of materials, and the electrical engineering class. Being able to solve a system of 3 equations with 3 unknowns in variable form is AMAZING! I know that there are websites to do this, but the cool thing is that you can use a calculator on pretty much any test, so you are golden! Stop wasting time doing math by hand, learn the functions of this calculator and save your head from being repeatedly thrusted into a wall when you make a stupid algebraic mistake!
