I love a big oversized umbrella. I wanted one with a curved handle but I got this one instead because I couldnt find a curved one that I liked. The auto open/close feature is fantastic. It has made up for not having a curved handle umbrella. I would hook the curved part onto my purse strap when not in use so I wouldnt have to carry it. So far I havent missed that feature.

Been a fan of these umbrellas because they are compact enough to store in my backpack without adding significant weight. They are durable as I have owned one for at least 2 years before having issues and the fact that Totes offers a lifetime warranty on these makes these a smart buy. It’s been years since I bought a new umbrella. Whenever my umbrella starts having an issue, I send it, my warranty tag, located inside the umbrella, along with a $5 money order to Totes for shipping and they send a replacement.

Totes offers a great lifetime guarantee on their products. Should they ever break, send them back and theyll fix it or send you a new one. In reality, after paying postage and the 5 dollar charge, you can pick up a new one on Amazon for about the same price and get it much quicker. This is actually my 3rd of this umbrella over the last several years. They usually hold up fairly well and can handle some abuse. Be careful though when others are around that dont know that it is an auto open/close umbrella. The 2nd one I had was broken by a friend you insisted on trying to slide it shut. Wrecked the spring inside and made the umbrella useless. Keeping it out of the hands of these people though, the umbrella works great to keep you dry. Size wise, this umbrella has a large open covering yet condenses down to a nice and small size to fit in my backpack so that I can carry it with me all the time, not just when I suspect rain.

Free umbrella broke after 14 years, had to pony up some money. A site I love for quality products highly recommend 2 umbrellas. I wanted the other one, but was not going to spend $49. So bought this one. Arrived today and I was surprised with how much you get for $23. First off, it is the thickest, sturdiest umbrella I have had in my hands. Next you open it up and the size of the umbrella is extremely suprising for how compact it is. So overall this is a great buy for the money. Only bad part, it was manufactured in China. But it does have lifetime warranty. So buy it online, and it will store the receipt for life. Something happens print the receipt and send it back.

A bit bigger then the regular Totes which serves us well as my wife is in a wheelchair. That said it folds up nicely and is easy to carry and store.

Not the smallest umbrella you will find but for me it hits that sweet spot between too small to do any real good when open and too large to be practical for anything this side of dueling. Opens to a size large enough to give a decent-sized guy and his bag satisfactory coverage, but can still be tucked in a larger backpack or strapped to the side of messenger bag. Construction is solid, handled windy days well enough, strong seems, smooth mechanisms and thicker fabric.

Its definitely not one of those umbrellas you buy from a street vendor, but from Totes, Id expect better. It was probably the second or third time using the umbrella when one of the support arms swung down and hit me in the head. When I inspected it closely, one of those super weak looking eyelets had broken and a portion of the support arm came loose and swung down. I was going to go through the whole return process but learned it takes WEEKS and actually costs you money to ship the FAULTY umbrella back! I just used some pliers and threaded a sturdy paper clip through where the eyelet was, bent down the ends and clipped off the extra. Good as new, no, probably better than new as I fully expect other eyelets to break. So far, after a few months, no more have broken but this thing carries a lifetime warranty. Youd expect it to be made better.

Not very tough it broke after a gust of wind hit it and almost turned it inside out. Also didnt like the fact that it didnt lock in its open position so even in light wind you could feel it wavering and trying to close

These are great umbrellas. They are larger than the average size and have auto open and close.

When my old umbrella died, I began to search for a replacement. After doing some research, I settled on this umbrella. It is exactly as described and it works well.

You don’t have to choose between maximum coverage and portability. The totes auto open close golf size umbrella combines extra large coverage with easy carry convenience! Easy auto open and close -- one push of a button opens the umbrella, one push closes it -- keeping one hand free when you"re on the go. The oversized 55-inch canopy is large enough to cover 2 people, and the premium ergonomic handle with rubber coating for a comfortable, secure grip even in rainy conditions. Blue detailing adds an aesthetically pleasing look to this classic compact design.
