> 3 dayNot only did I save money by doing my own taxes, I saved money by buying this software at Amazon.com. Walmart wanted $20 more than amazon. I just wish I had found this out years ago. I have always bought my tax software at a walmart store and paid too much. Turbotax is so easy to use. Just answer the questions, the same questions your tax professional asks. Its that easy.

> 3 dayMy second year using this product. It is very easy to use, very intuitive, you can have it interview you or if you have decent tax knowledge you can navigate thru it yourself. I like the automatic downloading of your W2, 1009 data from its partners like ADP. The e-file is also easy and reliable, and if you use it in successive years it automatically accesses last years information and populates common fields and allows you to edit them if you wish. Well worth the money.

> 3 dayI have used this product for many years since I am a small business owner. Works well to provide W2s, and provide a starting place for my tax accountant. The only concern is that it seems to be a little slower this year in starting up.

> 3 dayThis weekend, I attempted to file my mothers income tax with this software. She had used the TurboTax version for the Taxable Year 2009 as well. However, both versions have one major software flaw, and its a big one: Even though I entered values for capital losses in the software, it did not show in the final version, nor were these capital losses refelected in the tax computations. Effectively, even though capital losses may be carried over indefinitely, my mother would have lost them meaning that (1) she would not have had the benefit of offsetting any capital gains (she sold her home of 35 years and, yes, she did have a large paper gain, even with the $250,000 exclusion for the sale of a home) and (2) even if she did not have a capital gain, $3,000 of capital losses may be utilized per year to offset ordinary income. These capital losses were not reflected in her 2009 tax return, also filed via TurboTax, so she lost that $3,000 deduction. I will have to file an amended return for that year. Fortunately, I was able to download H & R Blocks software so that her return (with the extension) was timely filed today. My biggest concern is this: I have an advanced degree in tax and was able to crunch the numbers in my head. I only use this type of software because it is more convenient than filling out a paper form. And, beside, the IRS prefers electronic filings. But what about those of you who are dependent on this software? Had I used this software, my mother would have owed $15,000 in tax. However, she really owes nothing. Makes me wonder what other little bugs are in this software. STAY AWAY!

Greater than one weekI have been using Turbo Tax since 2005 and it has been so helpful in doing my taxes. It guides you through every aspect of your taxes. It is EASY-PEASY.I love that it asks so many questions to get the most legal deductions possilbe. It also flags possible questions on deductions. I love the optional services of my taxes being reviewed by an expert.

> 3 dayI have been using Turbo Tax Home & Business for several years and have always been happy with it. I had it transfer the information from 2009, which saves some time, then I quickly progressed through Federal & State, since I had already gathered all my information before starting. Then I e-filed both. The only additional charge was $19.95 on my credit card for e-filing the State. I dont itemize, so I dont expect any problems from the new tax laws that are just now being made available to tax preparers.

> 3 dayI have used Turbotax for the last 6-7 years and have always liked the product. This year, however, I dont believe Intuit / TurboTax did a very good job of debugging the software. It runs incredibly slow and tends to lock up for a few minutes (yes, minutes) when entering data into a data field. I have found a work-around in that after entering data, clicking on file or view (or any of the drop down menus) will force the information in the data field and allow to continue to the next section (irritating and ridiculous but at least it works...). There are also issues with some data fields not appearing and therefore, data cannot be entered (again, the workaround is going directly to the forms view and entering the data direct). Hopefully Intuit will push an update that will fix these problems soon!

> 3 dayThe turbo-tax arrived fast! I was pleased with the NEW turbo-tax 2010. I had NO problems with it and everything worked, as turbo-tax states. I filed 30 minutes, by e-file, before it would have been too late to send by e-file, and Turbo-Tax got it there with minutes to spare! Very Happy with the Turbo-Tax Home and Business 2010 edition.

> 3 dayI purchased TurboTax H&B 2010 at Thanksgiving time from Amazon and took a batch of updates right away, but with Congress stalling how correct can it have been? They didnt state their assumptions for this early version anywhere I would notice them. As usual Ohio download wont be ready until early January. This time many federal forms are noted to be ready in early January too. Now that a new federal tax bill has passed, I see TurboTax guessed wrong in allowing of $1000 (joint) real estate tax deduction in addition to the standard deduction. So I have no idea how valid the program results are as of late December and have had to resort to paying as much state and federal tax by withholding as were my total taxes last year. Im sure it will become its usual very good product in a month or so, but I wish they would make it pop up a better list of things that have yet to be incorporated.
