I liked the idea of the larger sizes 7/16 and the m12 metric, hard to come by those 2 sizes without buying as extra finish and fit are excellent .They should last me the rest of my time

Im no longer restoring cars, pulling engines, fixing a mower, etc. But I do maintain a small shop in my garage where I can fabricate and, mostly, repair items. This set is just the thing I needed. I wouldnt expect them to hold up to every day use in a machine shop but, then again, they are priced for the amateur. I used one tap and one die so far with great success.

My only quirk with this product is that the T-bar doesnt seem to allow taps that are too small or too large to fit into tight spaces.

I have needed a tap and die set for years. I have purchased an odd tap or die over the years but decided since I retired I’ve been putting together a shop for repairs and fabricating. This set will be very handy having both SAE and Metric. I haven’t used it yet but looking forward to doing some work on taping steel for bolts in added items for a trailer. It would have been nice to have a label on the outside of the very nice case but a Sharpie will fix that.
