AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 16-core, 32-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor

This is an absolute beast of a CPU. 16 cores, 32 threads and out of the box Im seeing all-core frequencies of 4.4ghz and single-core boosts of 5.0ghz during gaming (Metro: Exodus @ 4k Ultra settings w/RTX on a 3080 12GB). Absolutely smashes anything in front of it. Cinebench cowers in front of the might of all 32 threads shredding at over 4.4ghz. During normal use, with a 280MM AIO normal temps are around 40c idle and 65-70c under load. Synthetic stress tests with all threads at 100% usage will get the temp up to 83-85c, but even then frequencies stay high. Zero complaints so far about this processor, the only issues Ive seen are with some of the BIOS updates and AGESA code updates so if you buy it check with your motherboard support page to make sure of the BIOS of your board.

Dead on arrival. Does not post on both of my systems (x470/x570) which work perfectly fine before with 2700x. Not only that it fried 3 out of 4 of my memory sticks (also were working fine the moment before I swap the CPU).

Im a Indie Game developer/blockchain engineer I work on my own projects also work in the music EDM scene with producers in Europe Norway and Denmark this is by far the best investment I made can handle all my instruments native instruments way better than anything Ive previously had before never crashing or slowing down no latency no issues when it comes to making games or rendering the level design easy doesnt even heat over 40° without overclocking the best investment Ive ever made for a PC believe me when I tell you theres nothing better!!

WOW! I’m really happy with this CPU! I bought this mainly for 3D renderings with 3ds Max and Corona Renderer, this 5950x is 290% faster than my old Dual Xeon x5675!

My machine runs a lot faster. Upgraded from a 3900XT and theres a big difference in performance.

Used this for gaming and the upgrade is impressive, no need to overlook this beauty, we all hopped on a bus and ran over Intel, lets go razer, your showing the haters whos king, Nvidia better watch out

This this can handle anything you throw at it. Highly recommend an aio as this CPU runs very hot especially when boosted. Little more on the expensive of side but PC parts across the board right now have been getting a lot cheaper since 2020-2021.

Had this processor just over a month so Amazon wouldnt let me return it, had it in a brand new ROG Crosshair VIII Dark hero and in less than a total of 6 hour uptime while playing a round of Apex the PC crashed never to Post again. Have to RMA with AMD what a horrible nightmare its been. Did everything right and trouble shot it to hell,no go.buyer beware AMD is not all its cracked up to be for its price point.

Definitely overkill for just a gaming build, multi functional cpu and should be useful for years to come!
