The work light serves me as a very powerful spotlight. Well worth it.

I absolutely love this light. Incredibly bright and able to project different light brightness’s. Battery life holds up, (just keep in mind in higher power it will drain the battery faster). One of my new favorite tools for the barn

Keep in mind that when you are finished, you have $100+ flashlight. You need the light AND a battery And a charger sold separately. I have the new DeWalt tools with the brushless motors that use these new batteries, which are 4 amp. These tools generally come with two of these batteries. I also bought two extra. So, it is an expensive light, but it is bright. There are cautions about looking directly into the LED (Light Emiting Diode). Believe it and do not look directly into the light - you risk retina damage. The head tilts (a little too easily for me) and there is a hanger. The light is not heavy and the over-molded grip makes it comfortable to use. It has a three year warranty as do the batteries. Keep in mind, that if you buy the light and battery, you will need a charger. This is not a problem for me as I have the other tools that use these batteries and they all come with chargers. Kind of a long way of recommending this light is only if you have the new DeWalt tools that use this battery. If you do, the light is an excellent value. If you dont, well read my first sentence again and then decide.

I was really happy to get this flashlight. I have used it in at least 2 power outages and it never drained a 5 AH battery. One outage I probably had it on for at least 12 hours. I wanted a light that I could easily have enough battery capacity to last for 2 or 3 days if needed and this is the one. I like that I didnt have to buy yet another type of battery and could just use my power tool batteries.

No complaints with the product. If you’ve got Dewalt batteries, this light will likely be of use for you. However, let’s discuss Amazon’s worsening packaging. The Dewalt box is not particularly big, but Amazon shipped it in a sizable box with just a few pillows. This has become a trend of late, and I’ve received quite a few damaged products as a result. Really wish they’d pay a little better attention.

I bought this Dewalt DCL043 in mid-June of 2020 for $45 on a DOTD. I wanted to wait to write a review until I had an opportunity to use it in real-world situations. Ive used it about a dozen times now, so heres the TL;DR bullet point review: Pros: Super bright Seems well-built The pivoting head is very useful Sits on a floor or bench securely without tipping when sitting upright, or rolling away when the head is pivoted 90 degrees into a more traditional flashlight shape Long battery life even from my little 1.5ah batteries Did I mention its very bright? Cons: Its HUGE. Very, very large. Takes up quite a bit of space in the bottom of my 22-inch portable toolbox. Desperately needs selectable brightness modes! You have three options: VERY bright, useless dim red, and off. I would love to see this light upgraded with Hi,Med,Low settings! Using this while piled under the sink in a bathroom vanity was almost uncomfortable because of the overkill of light. Summary: This would have been a five star product for me if it had selectable brightness modes. I can even tolerate the excessively huge design, but man the lack of brightness settings is a bummer. Still, I love this light and Im happy with my purchase.

If youre invested in DeWalt batteries, I highly recommend this light. The weight of the battery (I use mainly 4Ah) keeps the light stable on any flat surface. The pivoting head allows getting the beam spot right where you want it. I was easily able to set the light on the ground and get a very strong light on second story soffit vents. Great addition to my DeWalt collection, couldnt live without it now.

This is the 2nd DeWalt flashlight we have bought. We have one in the shop and now one in the house. It is flexible and can be adjusted to any angle. Just what we needed.

take a beating and keeps on going. i wish it were waterproof.
