This is my second Dewalt max work light. The first has a red light as the second switch option. This light has a bright then lower power beam for the two switch settings. I own about 50 dealt 12 and 20 volt tools and in general find them all to be extremely reliable and durable. I leave the first one of these I own in our camper because it is so reliable and effective. This light has been faulty since about the three month mark. I contacted Amazon and they sent me to Dewalt. No one at dealt responded at first so I tried again and they sent me a set of instructions. Once the light is switched on it may operate normally, sometimes it shuts off sometimes it sticks and cannot be turned off and in some cases it will not turn on. I have tried multiple batteries, amperage ratings and after market batteries. It just seems to be a faulty switch and I cannot get Amazon or Dewalt to replace this one? Not sure what to offer to new buyers? Test it out as much as possible to see if the switch is good or bad. Mine worked fine for 3 months and no idea why it failed?
