> 3 dayThis is so, so much better than my old Radio Shack iron! This thing heats up fast! My only gripe is that it is easy to accidentally decalibrate. The interface for adjusting temps is rather poorly designed.

> 3 dayThis is a well built soldering iron. It heats up quickly and is easy to use. A variety of tips are available and they are easy to change. The only downsides I see are that the user interface is a little difficult to use and it doesnt have an automatic shutoff if it is not used for a specified time. I have accidently left it on over night a couple of times.

> 3 dayHad I known just how good this iron was going to be I wouldn’t have wasted my time with so many cheaper substitutes. Best advice I can give to my ‘past self’ in the future? “Don’t waste you money on the $25–$45 units. Save a little more money and splurge here. You’re welcome, self.” As a model aviation and audio electronics professional who solders multiple projects per week, this iron has already saved me cumulative days of ‘waiting for the iron to get to temp,’ as well as dozens (if not hundreds) cold solder joints averted. High-end unit at an affordable cost. Do it. Buy it. Three, two, one, buy it.

> 3 dayIve spent years screwing around with other less expensive brands. After my last 1 year old $125 iron with modest use took a crap in the middle of a project, I decided to purchase a Hakko instead of a replacement part. As soon as I plugged it in, within seconds it was ready to go. The tips absolutely amazed me by how the solder took and held to them. Cool down time is very quick as well. I now shut off the iron between using it because it immediately gets up to temperature. Im shocked how well this unit works, soldering was always a little difficult until now. Seriously shocked that this iron made this much of a difference. Game changer and great buy!

> 3 dayI have used Weller products for years... no more. This Hakko iron heats fast and works great. Its a fraction of the cost of a Weller station. Dont mess with Weller anymore, their quality isnt what it used to be.

> 3 dayA bit on the expensive side but I love it! I bought it on 2019 to work on some small projects at college (Electrical Engineering Student) and it was recommended to me by one of the upper-class men. I love this soldering station because it is beginner friendly, very safe to use, and it is comfortable to use for extended periods of time.

> 3 dayI thought I was the worlds worst solderer until I got this bad boy. Its amazing what a nice iron can do. It heats of quickly, stays hot, and has a solid tip. Worth every cent.
