> 3 dayI havent put this unit through a major use test but it definitely blows any other cheap pencil solder iron that Ive tried to use in the past. I have only used one tip so far and thats the default one that comes with it but I can see that all the other tips are hakko branded so I dont think Ill have any issues with them. Love the metal solder tip cleaner and though it comes with a sponge cleaner I havent used it yet as I prefer the other. I have seen friends with cheaper models that come mostly with conical tips.(smh) They might work but they dont look as sturdy or as trustworthy as the packaging that holds this solder iron station together. My advice is to start with a Hakko and then buy a cheaper brand and just keep it around as a backup. I think the price was affordable for the work you get out of if for sure. It took a little longer to receive it but it was worth the wait. I think that is because it come factory direct. Great shipping packaging. No issues with it at all. If I had to I would definitely purchase this item from this seller again.

With this unit soldering is faster and results much more professional looking. Unit heats up FAST [ready to use about 30 secs] and maintains temperature really well. Will NEVER go back to cheapo irons.

14-06-2025I haven’t tried it yet, but unpacking it the product looks excellent. Multiple tips. I just wish they were better instructions on care, like on how to change the tips for example.
