They seem to like it...have a mix of this..all purpose sand and ecoearth coconut. One of my hermies immediately went down to molt after I put this mix in the tank so I would recommend it.

A bit pricey for the amount, but the crab loved it and burrowed into it as soon as we added it to her tank.

My kids Hermit Crabs do not like wet sand, and all 3 of these bags of sand contained sand that was clumpy and wet. If your crabs like wet sand then I would recommend this for the value, but some of them do not like wet sand and this sand is definitely wet.

This sand is very wet and its the first time I used this type or brand. I tried it because the price was good and it is specifically for hermit crabs. After 6 hermit crabs died in this sand, I switched back to the dry calcium carbonate sand I previously used. I had to throw this sand out after a month and I had to clean out the crab carcasses.

Developed by Hermit Crab Specialists, Fluker"s Premium Sand Substrate mixture is the perfect blend of sand, coconut fiber, salt and calcium carbonate that ensures a perfect consistency for burrowing crabs. Probiotic is also added to help breakdown organic waste in your pet"s enclosure. One very important element in keeping land hermit crabs alive in captivity is to fill your crab"s tank with sand deep enough (minimum depth of 3 times the size of their shell) and moist enough (packs well) that your largest crab is able to bury completely to molt successfully.
