Freud 34-104: 1/8 Radius Rounding Over Bit, EA, Multi

No problems with the bit, which cuts super smooth leaving little sanding work afterwards.

Cant go wrong with Freud. Beautiful work bit. Fluted 125 year old columns ( piece work) with excellent results. Did not dull on very hard wood. Just the best.

The Quadra cuts better that the standard two blade bits but for end grain, I thought it would have done better on hard woods.

Freud ALWAYS meets my expectations

Bought this to cut ball type feet for tables (red oak); a lot of the cut is end grain. This Freud bit really cut cleanly (I wasnt using the smaller blades that create the step profile, just the round over portion). Freud didnt make a bearing-less profile for the other cut. So for this project I bought a CMT bit to cut the inner radius and though new, it did not cut near as cleanly as the Freud. It cut better than my used 3/4 bit, but that one has been used for cutting phenolic and the corners are chipped off it. Ive never been able to truly compare different brand bits as I never used more than one new bit at a time until now. I was pleasantly surprised to see how the Freud cut better because I always suspected they were better than most others Ive used. I have a number of CMT bits and think they are good; the new one was sharp enough to cut my finger just lifting it up into the machine mounted router, but most of my bits are Freud. They are sharp and stay that way a long time... if you dont cut phenolic.

I bought 2 thinking theres no way one is going to last for our entire project. Well I was wrong. We needed to do a 1/4 round over on just over 1600 linear feet of pressure treated yellow pine. Surely one bit would go dull before that or the bearing would seize up. It did not.

This thing is awesome. Exactly what you would expect from Freud.

Simply stated Freud router bits perform their job very well.

Freud makes quality products and this is no different. Made to last and worth the extra money
