Honeywell QuietSet Whole Room Tower Fan-Black, HYF290B

This remote has poor range and the buttoms are hard to use. You have to press them exactly right or they dont work. The fan was quiet at first but after about 4 months it started to get noisy.

w/PExitBR/Es: Quickie Review: I use all 3 at once/multiple rooms to quietly circulate air, especially bedroom. Lower settings are VERY quiet. Higher settings can be heard, but still quieter than ceiling/traditional options. Big fan of what they do for me in the bedroom & elsewhere, quieter options meet my needs regularly. Higher price worth it in long run given AC usage at higher temp settings. Who doesnt love having multiple options vs going back to the same old tired things that rarely, never get the job done when youre really hot? (If youre laughing, cynically rolling eyes, etc., its only going to get more punnier. :D) Q-FCS: Ive been burned by doing it online before, but I like what Im seeing. Some say really nice things too, but its always like that starting out. Looking for advice via highly experienced individual. Is it too good to be true? Please help. w/PExitBR/E: Funny you mention burning! Even living in Texas, hot-flashes still exist (its true)! Noise, hot, etc., wakes me up. No quality bedroom time is not cool! Quiet, effective, help w/elec. bill, etc., all very important to me. Ive had too many one-nighters in the past w/other fans (*hangs head in shame*), but this Honey & I have been going at it for a couple months now...all 4 of us (3 fans, 1 less flashy me). Remote, Sleeper function, etc., all great additions. Remote control can be snapped on/in space provided near top of fan. Though love is in my cooler, circulating air (& base design helps), these guys can suffer cheap date syndrome (wobble, fall over) if bumped into (pets, kids, 3am, dark journey to bathroom or kitchen, etc.,). However, these tall boys make up for it 10-fold. At higher fan modes w/their height, other options, they are very helpful in the bathroom, other rooms too (drying out a bathroom project, and way quieter than bigger shop fans). Even post tumble(s), they work great & are still durable & quiet. I dont know if theyre Mr. Right(s), but I do know its July in Texas & Mr. Right(s) Now works just fine. Worth the $$$. I literally almost cancelled my order of this fan, because after I read the reviews, it seemed like many people felt this fan wasnt very powerful. Because the price was so fair, I did not though, and I am so glad. The people who left bad reviews saying this wasnt a powerful fan... Im not sure if they live in a bottomless pit of fire or something, and thats why it doesnt work - but personally, I live in SWFL, where the temps can get in the 100s, and I think this fan is amazing. Definitely cools well, and has several different modes. If you like it quiet, they have that option. If you like some noise, they have that option as well. As far as I am concerned, this fan was a steal at the price, and I couldnt be more happy. Awesome fan!!

I love this fan! It has tons of settings and comes with a simple remote. The best feature is being able to turn off the power light that all electronics seem to have.

I like the number of different speeds, it’s quite I had no problems with any of them.

Amazon makes purchasing this item for our senior clients extremely easy. Delivers to their doo, but we pick up the bill.

I was disappointed when I opened this fan - The base is very cheap and flimsy. It didnt stay together to put the fan on. But once I did get the fan on it seems to hold it. The fan itself is ok. The speeds all work and dont make a lot of noisy even on high. On any speed you can still hear people talking or the TV and you do not have to raise your voice or turn the TV up. It blows out a lot of air as you set it higher and the highest speed can be felt 3 away maybe a little more. It does oscillate and has a dimming feature. The cord to plug it in is 5. The remote that is included is very cheap and small. It does require 2 AAA batteries not included. It worked fine that morning, but when we went to use it that night it did not work. Contacted customer service and they were very nice, prompt and helpful. But they did let me know that the remote was not a warranty item, but they would send me one as a curtesy. Also that if I would have got someone else they might not have sent me a new one. The new remote arrived very fast and works. Over all its an ok fan but when it breaks I would not purchase this one again.

First of all, let me say what a nice-looking fan this is. I spent too much time picking the decor for my little abode to want to have an ugly fan sitting around! Of course, right now, I have it sitting in the doorway of my bedroom (classy, I know!) because Im seeing how well it cools the room down. As for the rest of the positives: This fan is SOOOO quiet that, at first, I doubted that it would be very cooling. I was wrong. Once I got this assembled (very easy, btw) & figured out the controls (not too hard), I turned my AC off! LOL Being from Alaska, this Iowa heat and humidity is taking some getting used to. Also, Im not very familiar with AC and the costs (except for a horrendous bill in Arizona several years back). My apartment is a nice-sized 1 bedroom, 1 bath, kitchen and living room. There is a ceiling fan in bedroom, but at night, it still can get warm. Since this fan is doing so great at cooling the whole front of the apartment, I plan to put it in doorway of bedroom during the nights. With my AC off right now, I am totally comfortable. Its only 75 degrees out this morning, so I will see how well this helps when the temps rise (the other day, it was around 90). Even if I have to use this in conjunction with AC, I will be able to power the AC down a bit to help with the bill. By the way, having a remote will be super nice - when I get the AAA batteries that were not included. A plus is that the remote stores so neatly in the back of the fan. NOTE: For assembly, its easier it you follow the pictures/directions on the box flap rather than using the booklet. The booklet makes it seem more complicated than it really is.

Great fan super quiet -fourth one Im buying. Ive had three of them for five years still working great just needed another - highly recommend.
