> 3 dayWeve been impressed with this fan since purchase nearly three months back. We do have to prop it atop a foot high box for it to be able to blow on us while we sleep (it is tall, but not that tall). Its also virtually soundless unless you use the highest speeds, so perfect for those who wish to keep this in their bedroom like we do. I would purchase this model again without hesitation. That being said, a couple days ago our fan developed a clicking tick during rotation. We could not determine the source, only that the sound stemmed from the motor when rotating the fan about - when it wasnt rotating the noise was absent. Fortunately, we are four days shy of our 90-day-guarentee purchase warranty and so I spoke to amazon tech support. The gentleman who helped me was phenomenal, he went completely above and beyond, even connected me to the Honeywell company. They, too, were also outstanding with their assistance and are sending a replacement fan immediately. So, as I said above, I wouldnt hesitate to buy this model again, or to buy a Honeywell product over all.

> 3 dayLet’s be real, this is a fan and not an ac unit. It won’t cool down the house much. I live in area where we don’t have that many hot days, average 60-70 degrees. The days when it went to 90 degrees, I sure didn’t feel like the fan cool the house down at all. It work like any other Dan, blowing air on you. It is strong thought, don’t get me wrong but not cooling strong. Love how’s there several settings and more quiet than other fans I got, not whisper quiet though cause again, it’s a fan.

> 3 dayFirst of all, let me say what a nice-looking fan this is. I spent too much time picking the decor for my little abode to want to have an ugly fan sitting around! Of course, right now, I have it sitting in the doorway of my bedroom (classy, I know!) because Im seeing how well it cools the room down. As for the rest of the positives: This fan is SOOOO quiet that, at first, I doubted that it would be very cooling. I was wrong. Once I got this assembled (very easy, btw) & figured out the controls (not too hard), I turned my AC off! LOL Being from Alaska, this Iowa heat and humidity is taking some getting used to. Also, Im not very familiar with AC and the costs (except for a horrendous bill in Arizona several years back). My apartment is a nice-sized 1 bedroom, 1 bath, kitchen and living room. There is a ceiling fan in bedroom, but at night, it still can get warm. Since this fan is doing so great at cooling the whole front of the apartment, I plan to put it in doorway of bedroom during the nights. With my AC off right now, I am totally comfortable. Its only 75 degrees out this morning, so I will see how well this helps when the temps rise (the other day, it was around 90). Even if I have to use this in conjunction with AC, I will be able to power the AC down a bit to help with the bill. By the way, having a remote will be super nice - when I get the AAA batteries that were not included. A plus is that the remote stores so neatly in the back of the fan. NOTE: For assembly, its easier it you follow the pictures/directions on the box flap rather than using the booklet. The booklet makes it seem more complicated than it really is.

> 3 dayMy friend has one of these in every room of her house and I see why! Keeps rooms cool and Im hoping that will cut down on my air-conditioning cost this year. I love the different air functions and speeds. Cant wait to order more.

> 3 dayThis fan is quiet and blows a lot of air. The remote is a bit silly but the rest of the build is excellent.

> 3 dayThis fan is extremely simple to use. I set it up with no issue and started using it immediately. I like how clean the design is and that it doesn’t take up to much space. It is fairly quiet but I almost wish it was louder. I like to use louder fans as white noise when I sleep. The remote works very well so you don’t have to get up and walk directly to the fan every time you want to change a setting. Overall, this is a really nice fan and I think it’s well designed. The display on the top is top notch quality as well as everything else that comes along with the fan itself. Definitely a good buy!

11-06-2025I wanted a fan that could circulate air in my office while Im on meetings, without creating a bunch of background white noise. I tried an Optimus table fan, which was too loud to cancel out. I tried another tower fan, a Lasko 42 tower fan, which is equally loud on its lowest setting (but also moves a lot of air). THis one is phenomenally quiet. It is barely audible even in an extremely quiet, sound-isolated library/office room. On its lowest mode it is sufficient to feel a breeze clear across the room, 15 feet away. I wish it was a bit more aesthetically appealing - wood-grain fascia like the Lasko fan, or different color options / combinations that could be more interesting, more pleasing to look at, amid different decors. The remote control is also a very odd thing. Its shaped like a little box, not hand-shaped like any normal remote control, longer and slender. That having been said, it works well. Theres a small rattle noise that comes from the motor - whatever worm gear oscillates the fan back and forth. It seems this should be designed not to make extra noise, and maybe to be greased with some durable grease - white lithium or the like. This would render the entire device effectively inaudible, in all but the quietest environments and to those with the most acute of hearing. All that having been said, it is so quiet and works so well that I felt compelled to write a review. Its just a fan - but it does as it reads on the label. It is very quiet.

> 3 dayI was initially disappointed in the power of the fan and was intending to return it. But after using it for a few days it grew on me. The fan needs to be within 3-5 feet for it to be felt so the remote is useless to me. It is too quiet for me to be white noise so I still use an old fashioned box fan for that. However, what I do like about this fan is that it takes up less space than a box fan, its quietness helps because I can have it beside me and still be able to hear the television and make phone calls without the noise interfering, and the oscillation feature is nice.
