> 3 dayGreat quality and speed, and a brand that I trust. This switch is almost as fast copying from PC to PC as it is to copy large files from my SSD to my 2TB SATA hard drive on my PC - very fast and stable! This switch has some weight to it so it stays put, unlike some of the plastic garbage out there that only lasts a year or so before it breaks down. I use this switch as the backbone of our house network with 5+ computers right off the modem/router with no problems so far. I highly recommend it! Update: Six months after buying this switch it still has the great performance as before but I am having problems with Internet interruptions by my cable provider and the problem is I have to unplug and plug it back in to get it to work again after a disruption. This happens too much with my ISP so it has become unusable for me. So, if you have stable Internet provider like AT&T Uverse this switch works great but, if you have an unstable Internet service provider such as cable with this switch you may have the same problem as me. I now run my network directly of the cable modem but I have a D-Link model DGS-2208 8 Port Green Ethernet switch in one room that still runs perfect after seven months so I think D-Link is a better brand and Linksys may still have some great products but this one doesnt work for me anymore. I only took off one star for the problem I am having with this switch but, let the buyer beware.

> 3 dayThis switch does exactly what you want it to do. The only thing I dont like about it is the network connections are in the front and power goes in the back. I wish everything went into the back with the LEDs on the front. Thats my fault for not looking at it harder before I ordered it. Other than that it works exactly the way I want it to, so 5 stars is and easy rating for me.

> 3 dayTrue 1GB fabric I see 1.56 upload speeds with this switch if that tells you anything. The downstream is a bit low due to time of day and time of week a lot of folks watching netflix and such but I get over 1GB (check picture) there as well with this switch. With the proper equipment and internet connection and hardware the sky is the limit and over network it is the same maxes out my NVME SSD. Any more is overkill but still 10GB ethernet is long over due for consumers to own whats the hold up lets make it happen folks lets make providers and hard drives the bottle neck again!

> 3 dayI bought this to connect both my TV and a streaming box directly to the router. I thought connecting it directly from the router would be the way to go but it seemed both devices suffered from delays. I ended up packing it away and connecting the cable directly to my TV. It was my first time trying to use equipment like this, so possibly misunderstood how it should work. Either way, it seemed to equally weaken the signal to both devices causing the picture to remain fuzzy for longer than expected.

08-06-2025This review is for the 8 port switch. High quality materials, professional appearance. Im using at home/small home business office environment but it would be equally at home in an office office. When first connected, I saw 10% of the speeds I was expecting on my primary device and there is no way for the user to configure QOS or priorities. Not sure why this made a difference, but heres what I did: disconnected and turned off all network devices. Power cycled the switch. Connected my internet connection in the first port. My primary desktop connected to the second port. My bitcoin miner connected to port 8. I will have other computers and miners connected down the road but for now thats all. Powered everything back on and WOW! Ping times and download/upload speeds are actually FASTER than before I installed the switch. I havent experimented with Skype yet but regular VOIP calls using Ekiga and SFLphone are just as clear and reliable as theyve always been. If youve read my other reviews on Amazon, you know Im really stingy with my stars but this switch is absolutely awesome. Well done, Linksys!
