Greater than one weekSets itself up. Fierce boxing protects contents. Careful opening ... Sharp edges from compressed cardboard adds stability in shipping, but may slice under your fingernails on opening to retrieve the router. Proceed with caution. Faster, reliable internet connections ahead!

> 3 dayI spent a little more for quality and this product delivers. My network boots up quick upon restart. Usually these switches are the last thing to finish booting. I picked this style of switch for a reason. I need the lights on front and cables in back so I can see if there is information flowing to my tv components. No ugly cables showing on my sleek tv setup. The little tiny led lights that flash when data flows are not obtrusive and dont distract me when Im watching my screen. Rubber feet keep it in one spot on the top of my cabinet.

> 3 dayThese days, any 100/1000 switch will get the job done. This particular one is priced double than most competitors, but why? Honestly, I dont know but I prefer Linksys over other brands so I ponied up and burnt some extra money on the name / color. What can I say, it works. It is missing some crucial features, such as the ability to identify if a device is connected at 100 or 1000. Then again, it is a plug & play cheap home emergency solution. If any of my friends were to ask if I would recommend it, I would point them to a cheaper alternative that does the same thing or more, but for me I just prefer sticking with Linksys as I like to believe they learned something from Cisco many years ago.

> 3 dayLove this unit. Plug and play is always the way to go. Solid metallic body construction. Can be rack mounted, wall mounted, or just set on desk, table, shelf, etc. I ordered this switch to use with all my devices in entertainment system in one room. Was so impressed with it, I ordered another for the basement feed to send to other points in the house. Now I have an 8 port switch on my router, ( linksys EA9500 ), feeding an 8 port switch that feeds into another 8 port switch sending gig lines throughout the house. Have had both switches for close to a year with no problems and at this price point thats a win win.

Greater than one weekI got one of these about 1.5 years ago and it was great. All of the cords were on one side so I had it in my stack of components and I could still see all the lights. It was nice and convenient. Unfortunately I lost it. So I bought a new one about a week ago. They have since changed it. At some point, they updated the image on this page but you can still see the original product in the description. The product is still the same. a gigabit switch. But now it is like EVERY other switch out there, including the Linksys business switch that is $10 cheaper. It has the cables and lights on one side and the power on the other. As a result, it just got stuffed behind the AV system and hopefully I will never have to see it.

Greater than one weekThis is a great little Ethernet hub. I have configured it to connect to cable modem and then a CAT6 to the main PC and others to WiFi routers. The WiFi is for other laptops and guests. The CAT6 connection give me 150Mbps down and 60 Mbps up whereas the WiFi is about 30 up and 30 down. We have 4 repeaters which may slow the WiFi. Have tried several WiFi units and no difference. This is inexpensive and works well.
