Let me start off by saying that I own several Morakniv products. I think their knives are top quality at the price point that they are provided at. They could easily market this knife at the $100-$150 price range; it’s that good! Anywho, this knife will literally last you a lifetime, it holds an edge forever, and it sharpens like a dream on most flat stones and similar sharpening devices. GET IT! You won’t regret it.

Good sturdy blade. Going to be a good camp and adventure knife. The sheath is great too. Many options to mount or carry knife.

Let me preface this by saying I am a huge Morakniv fangirl! They are my favorite workhorse knives, I use my Companion and my Garberg for everything inside the house and out in the bush when I hike the mountains! Moraknivs are made with pride and it shows in the product. Theyre made of average steel, but its decent metal and really properly heat treated to get the most out of the tool. I think the plastic handles are very comfortable, ergonomic, and durable, and I love how lightweight the knives are as I have arthritis and any reduction in fatigue factor is a plus for me. I have had several Companions in my life and love them, theyre the best for food prep and light carving work! You CAN abuse your Companion, but I am gentle with mine. Then I got the Garberg, and it is a beast! But I felt like something was still missing. The Companion is flexible, slender, and wonderfully lightweight to use. The Garberg is extremely thick, it blasts through chunks of wood and anything in its path. I wanted something that was a little of both, something the best of both worlds. The Morakniv Kansbol is that blade! Its a little beefier and bigger than the Companion, so it feels a bit more substantial in your hand, but its not as thick and heavy as the Garberg, and also, the geometry of the Kansbol blade is extremely unique and effective for what its born to do. Its a more agile blade, excellent for delicate carving and fine tasks, but it still has enough beef to work larger chunks of wood down. The Kansbol blade has a thicker portion near the handle and it thins out quite dramatically towards the tip of the blade. If you carve wood a lot, youll understand why those different grinds can be useful. It also came to me razor sharp. That thin tip is absolutely wicked! Kansbol comes with a hard plastic sheath as with other Morakniv and I really like these style sheaths. They click shut securely and the belt loop is good for me. Morakniv does have other options for how to carry their knives, but this basic option is my favorite. By the way, you can strike a ferro rod with the spine of this knife. Just so you know! Actually, for me, if you ask me to choose between the Companion, Kansbol, and Garberg... especially if it was my first Morakniv, I would recommend this Kansbol! You really will not be disappointed. Youre getting a very fine tool that will give you many long years of fine service! My Kansbol is the knife I carry everywhere with me. That used to be the Companion, but I think the Kansbol is so awesome and works great for my needs. Garberg is amazing, worth the cost as well; but she is my camp knife, not my everyday carry knife, she is too heavy and thick for some things like cutting food. So whether youve been thinking about getting your first Morakniv, or youre looking to add more of these awesome Moraknivs to your collection, I recommend you to try this one out! I chose the color burnt orange, and its beautiful in person. I like the green as well but I am saving that color for my fiances Christmas present! :)

This is a sharp, well made knife. The scabbard is nice as well...keep the knife safe while transporting it.

Great knife with a solid but slimmer blade profile. Gave it to my buddy to use for gutting deers. A few deers in, and the knife has gained his bloody seal of approval. Great product, may have to buy one for myself one day.

This is a great knife for camping or Bushcrafting. It comes with the knife, the sheath, the ferro rod, and sharpener. The handle of the knife is very nice and it is easy to keep a hold of. The blade itself is stainless steel and the sheath is hard plastic. The only problem Ive had is the point of the blade has gotten two chips in it. Over all I think this is a great knife.

An amazing knife for the price. A modern multi grind knife that will process wood with Scandinavian grind, and still process food and other cutting tasks with the flat grind. Insanely sharp out of box. I have $10.00 knives to $500.00 knives, I also make knives, this is a keeper

I have 3 Moraknivs. This is my favorite. The blade is incredibly sharp. The fit and finish is perfect. Its so light on my belt I barely know its there. If youre thinking about the kansbol just go ahead and get it. Its nearly the perfect knife for an outdoorsman. Ill probably buy another just to have as a backup.
