I thought I could use my PSVita as my sole entertainment device going aboard - so like using (any) smartphone. So buy some memory expansion and fill it with media! The first hurdle is to understand the very willful and awkward way how to transfer content to the device, Once figured out you will see yourself confronted with an hour long transfer time and a progress bar stuck at 5s. This is caused by the slow class 2 memory device speed of this memory module. (For comparison: Standard memory cards are Class 10). But then you learn the worst by wasting a lot of time: No matter how you do it, you can only fit 4000 media pieces on the device. So say good bye to your idea of using the space for all your audio books and music. So after many attempts to use this awkward program, you will give up, format the memory card, create a new folder on the computer and copy the 4000 media pieces you mostly want into. Then you will use the media manager to select all and copy everything - since no one wants to check individually 4000 items on the tiny PSVITA screen. After spending then many hours you look at your system info and can be proud that you have used 1/3rd of your new memory card - leaving 2/3rds free for other purposes! Only what could that be? Using your UV movie collection? Does not work. Buying expensive old movies from Sony to watch on this tiny screen? No. Games? Oh wait - they come as memory modules. Soo... why didnt you buy 32GB or even only 16GB? Honestly - I dont know. So let me summarize: - You pay more then 4 times more than an ordinary SD card - You get less then 1/5th of the transfer speed of an ordinary SDcard - You can only fill the device with 4000 media files leaving the device 2/3rds empty. - You will spend lots of time doing so since the transfer is really awkward and checking of 4000 check boxes is no fun - Finally you end up with a lot of unusable memory. I am very sorry to say, but it appears that this is only half thought through and mainly made from a greedy company. What happened to the great Sony company? I will return this since for a failed experiment this is far too much money.

A little pricey, but this is the best option for your PS Vita, especially if youre looking to do a lot of digital downloads from the PSN store. It will be able to store most of your gaming and media needs with some room to spare. Previously I had purchased an 8 gb card when I bought the Vita, but that quickly filled up, so I was looking for something with a little bit more memory and this was the biggest option they had. I transported all of my files and savegames from my other memory card via Sonys own memory transfer program that works on both Mac and PC, and now I dont have to worry about using up all my space. Like I said, the price is a little on the high side for a memory card, and Sony sucks you in with their specific Vita memory cards, but if you use your Vita a lot, this one is a no-brainer.

I can share the same experience as many other reviewers have, be prepared to deal with currupted data, crashes, errors, and it’s inevitable death after 12 - 36 months of use depending on your gaming habits. I was having problems with it from the moment I received it, but after reformatting it a few times and rebuilding the database, the memory card finally became a bit stable. I still encountered issues with it throughout the life of it before it finally died, just after it’s 24 month window. Luckily, I have PS Plus so all my save data is safe, but regardless, having to pay close to $100 for a 64gb proprietary memory card that is bound to fail anyway is hard to swallow. I have another 32gb card that I have been using for a few years now and it is still going strong. So the widespread complaints about the 64gb card being more problematic than others may in fact be true true story after all... I experienced it myself. As others have mentioned, if you get it, be sure to either back up your saves often via content manager or get PS Plus. The memory card begins to exhibit problems without any warnings so one day you will pick up your Vita and find out that your memory card has called it quits on you. It happened to me. Stay informed and do your research before buying one, a quick search online will validate not only what I said, but what many others have said as well.

A few things to understand. 1. It’s a 64gb memory card. 2. It is for the Vita. 3. It holds a lot of games, taking into consideration that most games for the Vita are 1 to 3 GB. (Sometimes less depending on what you enjoy.) 4. It isnt cheap. 5. And it is a Sony product which is why it isn’t cheap. So to the people that are giving the product a 1 star rating, stop. The price is what it is. Go complain on Sonys message boards if you dont like it. Now back to the review. Taking that all in, you need to ask yourself only one question. What price would you pay to have just about an unlimited amount of space? I was previously using a 16 GB card. Which could hold 3 to 4 Vita games depending. (Borderlands 2 takes up a lot of space to install) Now I can say with certainty that the 64 GB version can hold at least 32 games, and still have 13 GB left on standby. The standby memory has more than my 16 GB card had before adding anything to it. (Remember that the cards have coding which takes away from the storage) Meaning that the 64 GB card actually has 59 GB worth of free space – and my 16 GB had only 12.5 GB of free space. Here is a list of what is on my card. This might help show you the vast amount of space you will have (Remember, I still have 13 GB left to play with) 1. Batman: Arkham Origins (Vita) 2. Borderlands 2 (Vita) 3. Child of Light (Vita) 4. Chrono Trigger (PSX) 5. Chrono Cross (PSX) 6. Dustforce (Vita) 7. Fez (Vita) 8. Final Fantasy 4 (PSP) 9. Final Fantasy 5 (PSX) 10. Final Fantasy 6 (PSX) 11. Final Fantasy 7 (PSX) 12. Final Fantasy 8 (PSX) 13. Final Fantasy 9 (PSX) 14. Final Fantasy X-2 (Vita) 15. Guacamelee (Vita) 16. Killzone (Vita) 17. Limbo (Vita) 18. Lumines (Vita) 19. Lunar: Silver Star Harmony (PSP) 20. MediEvil (PSP) 21. Need For Speed (Vita) 22. Persona 4 Golden (Vita) 23. Rayman Origins (Vita) 24. Rayman Legends (Vita) 25. Shooter Ultimate (Vita) 26. Sly Cooper 1 (Vita) 27. Sly Cooper 2 (Vita) 28. Sly Cooper 3 (Vita) 29. Sly Cooper Thieves In Time (Vita) 30. Tearaway (Vita) 31. Walking Dead Season 1 (Vita) 32. Zen Pinball – (With at least 10 tables) (Vita)

OK, as I write this, this memory card costs over $100 and thats a travesty. I think Sonys made the same mistake they made with the PSP by making an awesome piece of hardware hindered by memory issues. With that out of the way, were talking about a 64Gb Vita memory card which is *spectacular*. I was running an 8Gb for two years and anyone with Playstation Plus knows thats just a failure. So, after two years of ownership, I decided to up my game, spend the cash and now Im set (for a little while at least!) 64Gb is great as I have maybe 7-8 PSP titles, about 20 Vita titles available at any time. The way it should be. The price is a downer, but that will eventually come down. As for the hardware, this thing is exactly what I needed and dont listen to any reviews that state otherwise. Cough up the money or deal with smaller memory cards. Simple! Im glad I bought this. Now my Vita does what it should have been doing for two years.

My 64gb card failed or went faulty in 3 days. The Vita wasnt able to reformat the card, rebuild data base or recognize the card. The seller was great on refunding me. After more research I learned the 64gb cards have a higher failure rate compared to 32gb card. If I get another 64gb in the future and if it works good Ill update my review. I got another card and it started to do the same weird issues with backup and restore fails and other issues. I returned the second one too. The $90 price is not the problem for me, the quality of the cards are the problem. I really am disappointed in for the first time ever in Sonys lack of quality control in this particular product. They really should have never invented the card if they never intended for them to work properly in the original 3G/Wifi Vita. Save your money and buy a 32GB card and leave it at that. The 32GB work without any issues and Ive owned one for over 2 years while 64GB fails in days of use. After reading nearly every single negative review (3 star and below) for both 32GB and 64GB here are my findings. -32GB cards have a 0.8% chance of being faulty -64GB cards have a 2.0% chance of being faulty (plus their are less of them out there in the wild since they are only made for the Japanese market) PlayStation forums indicate that users encounter issues with restoring PSVita 64GB cards and that they fail quite often. Just stick with 32GB and deal with the memory management or start buying physical copies of your games ASAP to save on data.

As a release day owner of my Vita, I started out with the 8g card. With few games at the time this wasnt really a big deal. I soon jumped up to the 16g and stuck it out there because I didnt want to pay so much more for the 32g. Now with a larger library of games, especially those with PS Plus subscriptions and other downloaded games available I really didnt want to wait any longer. I was a bit hesitant at first to import the 64g card since they are only available in Japan. Sony hasnt released them in the US (which boggles the mind) and at first some of the price gouging on them was insane. After waiting a bit for the price to drop I took the plunge. The 64GB card has gotten a lot of bad reviews. Why? Not because of a faulty item, but because of price. I can understand this as I hesitated for a long time before purchasing any card bigger than the 8GB. Its also understandable as many sellers were significantly price gouging when these were first released in Japan. Consumers want Sony to know they are unhappy with the choice to keep us locked to purchasing their memory. Yes, Sony has made a smart move to lock consumers in. Now that the new version of the Vita is out, its pretty obvious it isnt going to change. There is no reason to keep a smaller number of games, music, and videos on your Vita if you really dont have to. The price is considerable, but its the best bang for your buck. If you purchase any of the smaller cards youre ending up paying more in the long run even when they are on sale. (Black Friday/Cyber Monday included) Yes, it WILL work on your US Vita. These cards are not region locked. I have a US Launch Vita and it works just fine. Keep in mind youll need to format it when it arrives, at least I needed to. This card will display as being 59GB, when it fact it is 64GB. Its just how the memory is measured, it doesnt mean the memory is faulty or anything like that. As other reviewers have agreed its a common business practice with memory and its nothing to be concerned about. Just a heads up as Ive read a lot of people are confused and even angered by it.. but its just how memory works. Backing up your Vita and then moving everything over to the new card is simple. Just connect it to your computer, backup/restore and youre good to go. I for one like physical copies of games. Call me old school but I like having a product I can hold. Thats not to say I dont have plenty of downloadable titles as well (Final Fantasy, Walking Dead, PS Plus freebies..etc). I have pretty much every title I own on my Vita right now with room to spare and that feels good. To re-iterate there are no plans to bring this card to the US as of yet. It was initially announced about its release in Japan last November 2013. So if youre waiting for it to come out here, dont bother. I got this for a decent price with Prime. It arrived quickly, safely and in new condition. Ive had no issues with it and love the fact that I have so much space available. If youre a Vita junkie like me you cant go wrong here. Dont sell yourself short purchasing a 32GB card that wont save you money in the end. Purchase from a trusted seller and give your Vita some freedom. Hate on Sony for smart business practice but in the end the product does work. Pros: Isnt Region locked. 59GB, plenty of space for your favorite games, music, movies, etc. Easy to install and use. Cons: Price.

I dont know why anyone would need so much memory for their handheld system. But seeing as how many good deals there are in the PlayStation store given the fact that they have older games is good enough. I have gotten used to having digital games in my PS4 system, so might as well do the same for my PS Vita. So far I found some rather better deals on Amazon for some cartridge games such as Tekken x Street fighter, which is 40 on the PlayStation store, and Ive also found some good deals on the PlayStation Store such as Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z, 40 or more on Amazon and 20 on the PlayStation store. So yes, it kinda does pay off having a bigger memory unit. For one, I dont have to worry about losing or damaging my cartridges, or getting up from where I am to pick out another game to play. But on the not so bright side, games do take a lot of time to download. So the choice is really in the end, up to the consumer. In the end, Im glad to have a lot of memory on my Vita System.

I upgraded from a 16GB card to the 64GB, and I am very satisfied with my purchase. Now I dont have to worry about juggling which games I want to store on the card. One caveat though; you only get access to 59GB of it. What I have on the card now: Batman Arkham Origins Blackgate Escape Plan Jet Set Radio Metal Gear Solid HD Collection Tearaway Uncharted Golden Abyss The Walking Dead Season 1 (Telltale game) BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend Dead or Alive 5+ Demo Injustice Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition Mortal Kombat Street Fighter X Tekken Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 DJMax Technika Tune Sound Shapes Need for Speed Wanted Sonic Transformed Killzone Mercenary Unit 13 Luftrausers Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational Gods Eater Burst Mega Man Maverick Hunter X Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker Monster Hunter Freedom Unite Still got 11GB left.

Feels great finally upgrading from a 4gb I had since launch of Feb 2012 to a 64gb! Seriously if youre an avid gamer, its really just go hard out go home. Ive put off buying a vita memory card because of the prices but I finally listened to that voice in my head telling me to upgrade after all these years. Plus Ive been playing my vita a good amount lately, thanks to helldivers. Finally getting to use the download code for ffx2 HD that came with X, and many many more games. I have been reading reviews that the memory card stops being read by the vita. Not sure if its a scam to get people to buy the replacement plan or they didnt properly back up/restore their vita. I own the phat version and will update if anything goes wrong with the memory card. But for now, im very satisfied with my purchase.

This is a memory card for Play Station Vita that can be used to store saved data, downloaded games, additional content, videos, music, still images, and various other content. This item is used. Memory card body only. The case and manual are not included.
