08-06-2025As advertised but no fault of the seller, sony proprietary memory card/slot is rediculously over priced. If they had simply gone the SD card route they would have sold way more vita units. Buying a vita just to find out you need to spend $40+ more for a much smaller memory card or $100 for the 64GB Japan release only card is quite a big pill to swallow and only the hardcore or dumbest of us are willing to drop that kind of cash on something that is so specialized. Its not like i can use this card in anything other than my PS Vita. With that said, I like having the ability to have lots of games installed to fit my random desire to play whatever I feel up to at the moment. I have frequent long hospital stays for which I was very glad to have 20 - 30 different games readily available to me.

> 3 daySonys insistence on keeping Vita memory cards proprietary (not even letting 3rd party companies making and releasing their own versions) is ridiculous, but no use whining now after all these years. If youre going to get a memory card, it might as well be the largest around for the best value. 64GB doesnt sound like much in this day and age where phones come in 64 and even 128GBs. But trust me, for gaming purposes, its plenty and will alst you a long time. game saves barely take up any space at all and the bulk of your memory will most likely be taken up by digital games you purchase (or get free every month from Playstation Plus). Game sizes can vary, though massive games that take up 3/4 GBs are pretty rare. 64GB will hold plenty of games to play for quite a while.

> 3 dayEverything is great other than these memory cards being so ridiculously expensive. Also, 64 gigs (which you can use about 59 of,) still isnt THAT much considering most of the Vitas titles are digital only. I feel like it isnt going to take me long to fill this card up as well. Regardless, it works fine and is the most space you are going to get for your Vita. Dont worry about these being imported from Japan, they were never released in North America, it will work. Might as well get this one since the 32GB is ridiculously priced too.

> 3 dayI must admit, it took a while for me to receive my order for my 64GB ps vita memory card. But it was well worth the wait for this much storage capacity! This memory card with this much space is very ideal for downloading and installing A Lot of games!

> 3 dayMy 64gb card failed or went faulty in 3 days. The Vita wasnt able to reformat the card, rebuild data base or recognize the card. The seller was great on refunding me. After more research I learned the 64gb cards have a higher failure rate compared to 32gb card. If I get another 64gb in the future and if it works good Ill update my review. I got another card and it started to do the same weird issues with backup and restore fails and other issues. I returned the second one too. The $90 price is not the problem for me, the quality of the cards are the problem. I really am disappointed in for the first time ever in Sonys lack of quality control in this particular product. They really should have never invented the card if they never intended for them to work properly in the original 3G/Wifi Vita. Save your money and buy a 32GB card and leave it at that. The 32GB work without any issues and Ive owned one for over 2 years while 64GB fails in days of use. After reading nearly every single negative review (3 star and below) for both 32GB and 64GB here are my findings. -32GB cards have a 0.8% chance of being faulty -64GB cards have a 2.0% chance of being faulty (plus their are less of them out there in the wild since they are only made for the Japanese market) PlayStation forums indicate that users encounter issues with restoring PSVita 64GB cards and that they fail quite often. Just stick with 32GB and deal with the memory management or start buying physical copies of your games ASAP to save on data.

> 3 dayI bought a ps vita slim two years ago, packed it away for safe keeping plus the fact I didn’t have the money for a memory card at the time, found it again and am so glad I got the 64 gb from Sony on Amazon. It’s better than paying $130 for a REBURBISHED one at GameStop. There weren’t a lot of ps vita games out when I bought it, none that interested me anyways lol but as soon as I saw what was available i knew that I wanted to play the vita again with as much memory as possible. I have a wish list with almost 30 games, I’ve already bought 3 of those. 64 gbs will provide more than enough room, plus I can always download a few movies or some music :) I’m happy with my purchase

> 3 dayFirst off let me say 64GB is way more than enough space for the Vita. I have literally all my vita games on this card, OVER 35 FULL VITA TITLES!!! and thats not even counting all the indie games, ps1 games, and psp games. The only reason I knocked the product down 1 star is because sony really is charging a lot for these. With that being said It feels great having all my Vita titles right on the system and not having to worry about space and missing cartridges. In Summary its definitely a great buy for those who download lots of titles to their Vitas

> 3 dayAside from proprietary design and encryption, this card is, functionally, no different than a Micro-SD. Sony, fearing piracy paralleling that of the preceding PlayStation Portable (PSP), went and created its own memory card specifically for the PlayStation Vita (PSV), and subsequent, console version, PlayStation TV (PSTV). While this has, thus-far, successflly prevented PSV game piracy (PSVs and PSTVs have been hacked to play pirated PSP and homebrew games/programs), it has also created a significant deterant to purchasing PSV & PSTV hardware and software due to the unnecessarily high entry cost. Furthermore, this greatly hampers ones usable, digital library to a mere 64GB maximum (which is itself a rather recent upgrade in storage capacity). At this very moment, a 200GB Micro-SD card can be had for approximately HALF that of this proprietary 64GB card. Its simply rediculous in the grander scheme. The card functions, it does what its intended, though its existence is not needed as there are better products available at a lower cost that do the exact same thing (simply in a universal form). This is currently the better storage device to purchase, but the PSVs/PSTVs reliance on this card is entirely artificial.

Greater than one weekPerfect size for most gamers needs. When Sony announced a propriatary storage system for the Vita I was disappointed, and even more so when I saw the initial limitation was 32GB. Most gamers would quickly run through the storage on their 8GB cards, and with the majority of games being download-accessable only you would quickly run through the rest of the storage capacity up to that 32GB limit. The 64GB is about the most anyone would need for a long trip, or for the several games and associated save data. Its small, so it wont take up much space wherever you store it. Its good quality and isnt much more expensive than the 32GB, so if youre on the fence about which size to get Id advise shelling out a few more bucks for twice the capacity.
