PlayStation Vita Memory Card 64GB (PCH-Z641J)

Its expensive, but if you use your PS Vita a lot then a 64GB card is definitely worth considering. Moving straight to this from a 4GB card it felt like a whole new world. Lol I now have all of my music (roughly sixteen albums) saved to my Vita (I suggest using a program like Freemake to shrink file size significantly), ten minutes worth of videos, most of my pictures, two cartridge based games, twenty five digital games (including two classic PlayStation games: Dino Crisis 2 and Harvest Moon: Back To Nature), and ten demos on my card, and I still have 42GB remaining. So yeah, this memory goes a long way. Simply put if you buy games for your Vita often, plan to buy several over the course of its lifetime, or are a PS+ member and download the games it comes with, then you need to consider buying a 64GB memory card. Its a steep price but its worth it since you wont have to worry about another card for a long time, if ever.

Yes, its hard to swallow the price of this card, and it would be nice if it didnt have to be imported to the US, but that being said, I am EXTREMELY happy to have it. I really like the idea of going all-digital for many reasons, like 1. dont have to take extra time to shuffle around game cards if you want to switch out games when youre on the go, 2. dont have to find space to carry all the extra cards when traveling, 3. environmentally friendly, 4. load times seem to be more forgiving with some titles, and 5. with some patience, I have largely been able to find digital sales for games that well exceed physical sale prices. I had been juggling two 8g cards since the launch of the Vita Slim (pain in the culo), and since that time I have saved so much money on digital sales, I decided to grab a 64g card. Shortly after, I was gifted a one-year PS+ subscription, and am stoked to have this card now for the IGL as well as for the PSP and PSOne library titles. I have 41 games on this card and still have over 25g to spare. I would also say that for the current price of a 32g card, it made more sense to me to pay the little bit extra for the 64g card. So, something else to think about there, because I dont think Ill be hurting for space any time soon. I havent had any issues at all with this card and transferring data or recognizing content. The shipping was very fast (much faster than the estimated time by weeks). I really cant think of any reason for a Vita owner not to have this card, ESPECIALLY if they are a PS+ subscriber.

I couldnt find a 64gb in the us as its only available in japan so i was happy that i could order it from amazon happy with the product, though i wish sony would learn from their mistakes and make a new device with standard memory and chargers from the beginning

Its is a Japanese import but most importantly YES, it WILL work on a US Vita =D Originally selling for $135, the 64GB Vita memory card (of which you get 59GB to work with) now sells for $88 to $100. Shipping costs are not included in that figure and yes, it’s online only for those who live in The States. In hindsight it’s better than paying the same amount for a 32GB Vita memory card. As the last two reviewers said, although it is a 64GB Memory Card, you only get 59 to work with while the remaining 5GB is partitioned. Even so, its ALOT of memory at your disposal. It made sense for me to get one given I use my Vita for more than just playing video games. I also download movies and Anime Episodes from The Playstation Store. Since I plan to buy the Gamestop Exclusive Aqua Blue Vita, I will buy a second 64GB Memory Card in a few weeks. If you’re getting a Vita between now and the end of the year, the 16GB one I replaced (of which you get 14GB to work with) should be fine. That will cover a good 5 to 8 Vita games, 10 to 15 PS One Games and 7 to 12 PSP Games. It goes for about $25 nowadays. This is of course assuming you load it with just games. The Vita supports MP3s for Music plus it has the camera function for taking pictures, video and screenshots (Press Home + Start together). TV Episodes range from 225MB to 500MB for Standard Definition and 1GB to 3GB for HD. Movies are usually 750MB to 1.5GB for Standard Definition and 5GB to 12GB for HD. Those things will eat up your storage if you’re not careful! If you plan to download alot of Games, TV Shows/Movies and other content, its an absolute must. DLC content adds up too so...yeah. Even so, it should last you a good while ^_^

I purchased two of these ridiculously expensive PSV memory cards from seller APEX GAMES (USA) with FBA (fulfilled by Amazon). I originally only purchased one for my husband, but after browsing Amazon and getting great deals on PS Vita games it only made sense to just get one for myself. I do want to note beforehand that the cards I received from APEX GAMES (USA) are the Asia version (Taiwan/Korea - PCH-Z641G), NOT Japan version (PCH-Z641J) like stated in the description and title. Because of this I knocked off one star as I did not receive the actual version I paid for. After reading up on differences and seeing that the G version cost more on the play-asia site (where PS Vita is commonly found), that site states the J version may experience issues with PSV 1000 devices (aka fat vitas). Now I dont own the PSV 1000, but the 2000 slim so I decided to keep the G and tested them out. So far no issues only time will tell when and if these cards deteriorate with excessive use. I was able to transfer a small saved file I had from my internal slim memory onto the card without any issues. Ive read issues with both G and J versions so whatever card I got would of been a risk either way. Leave it to Sony to make a proprietary memory card that might and might not work overtime with such a high price tag. Both cards gave me 60gb of free storage. If you are wondering where the 4gb went, simple answer is system data after formatting. UPDATE: I ordered a third 64gb PSV memory card for another PS Vita, but this time from seller cus mart and got exactly as advertised! BRAND NEW SEALED PCH-Z641J and is in working order. So far both Japan (PCH-Z641J) and Asia (PCH-Z641G) versions of this 64gb memory card has been working perfectly since purchase. NEVER remove the memory card while your device is on/sleep mode, high chances of file corruption. UPDATE #2: Ordered another memory card for my 4th new silver PS Vita from seller NuBlissful with FBA (Fulfilled by Amazon). Card came brand new in original packaging as advertised and is working great!

Until I purchased this, I owned a 32GB card and an 8GB. Although it still wasnt enough storage for all the network games I purchased, it was good enough. The only pain was having to swap out the cards and restart. I caved in and decided to purchase this card and sell off the others and Im glad I did. Now I have enough storage for all my games and no more swapping. Just grab and go. Although pricey, I prefer just having all my games in one spot and less to carry around. If you hold out, the price fluctuates. Ive seen them dip below the $90 mark to around $85. But they are hard to find these days. Especially USA made ones. The Japanesse ones (the one I bought) work exactly the same.

Well, Ill guess Ill write my review for the 64 gigabyte memory card. Albeit over priced this is a must have for a Vita owners. First off you get 59GB not 64GB but thats just how it works. If youre worried because its imported it does work on American Vita models. Just to give you an idea of how much space you truly get I currently have: 1 PSone game, 4 Minis, 9 PSP games, 23 Downloaded games, plus large size patches for multiple games and I still have 35GB free. The only real downside is the price $100 is too much but, when you look at it the 32 Gigabyte is 70 bucks for $30 more youre doubling the space that and considering the 32 used to cost $100 its a nice deal.

The first impression that I had was, Wow, that little cards expensive! But this card does hold a lot. To put it in perspective, I have 47 games, consisting of PS Vita, PSP, and PS1 titles. 20 video files, and over 200 songs. With that, I currently have 5GBs left. If that amount of content for the price sounds good to you, then I would recommend a buy. Edit: 4 years later, the card has gone bad on me. The data has become corrupted and cant be copied, backed up, played, moved, or uninstalled. I lost a lot of game saves because of this. I suppose this is the unfortunate outcome of every card eventually, and i have heard of this happening to others in a shorter period of time.

Just to get the negative part of the review out of the way first: YES. The price of these memory cards are way too expensive. After formatting, the actual space is 59GB (still HUGE), and no different than formatting a 16GB card and the actual space ends up being only 14GB. That said, I was happy to pay only $22 more than what a 32GB Vita card would cost for double the amount of precious PS Vita memory space. I purchased this card from GZ Store here on Amazon, and could not be happier. The orders are actually fulfilled by Amazon and shipped out of Indiana, giving you very fast delivery within the US. I decided to get next day shipping because at this price point, whats another $10? Still, the entire purchase and overnight shipping came to less than $120, and I have received it just in time (the exact day matter of fact) for Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD for the PS Vita. I highly recommend getting this card if you know you are going to be using a lot of space, as it is by far the best price in terms of cost to memory space ratio. I also highly recommend GZ Store as it is shipped and fulfilled by Amazon, and ships straight from their warehouse with all of the shipping options available to have it next day, or free shipping, or however you would like.

Nothing beats official Sony quality. This is the real deal. Weve used this for Many MONTHS without a single error. I think its worth the extra few bucks for peace of mind knowing your memory card wont just instantly disappear when it suddenly fails without any warning like the cheap clones do (Im speaking from experience!). The 64gb worked great in our Vita Slim, with a free firmware update, and we love the huge 64gb size. We have a LOT of Vita download games and its very nice being able to install/load all of them at once without having to delete/reinstall games we feel like playing - which saves a lot of time and aggravation.
