> 24 hourThe biggest reason I like it is how perfectly it fits right on top of my 15 laptop so I dont have to use the cruddy laptop keyboard. The wrist pad stays exactly where it should stay, which covers up the touch pad on the laptop, but Id just as soon use my mouse anyway (a Razer DeathAdder V2). Together, the TKL keyboard and wrist pad fit on top of my open laptop as if they were made for it. To get the Razer keyboard and mouse working on my linux OS, I had to install both the open-source Razer Chroma Linux drivers and a linux program called Polychromatic, but both were fairly easy to install and straight forward with plenty of places online for instructions on downloading and installing. I did replace the USB cable it comes with, in spite of it seeming like a durable cable, partially because I didnt need such a long cable for my purposes, but mainly because I was afraid the cable would not last as long with it sticking straight out from the back of the keyboard and potentially rubbing against the laptop screen. I replaced the cable with a shorter cable and a right angle USB adapter. One thing that was slightly annoying is that the keyboard requires a Mini-B connector for the end of the USB cable that plugs into the keyboard instead of a USB-C or USB-A. This makes finding a suitable replacement for the cable should it one day be necessary just a little more difficult.

> 24 hourGreat product, I love the keys these switches are nice and clicky. I can type & do all my things and just bang on it and it sounds like im a fancy hacker. I just got it and this review is pretty much a few minutes after having it. If i had a con it would be the height of the actual keys from the base of the keyboard body. They are pretty high if you are not using a wristrest your hand may get tired. Its just a sentence of typing and my hands were feeling fatigued. I dropped the kickstands back down to make it flat and its immediately much better. Yeah this is a great keyboard on a deal.

> 24 hourI’ve read a lot of the reviews for this keyboard before purchasing and still purchased it hoping mine would be different considering I’ve bought many things in the past that had many bad reviews and I never had to complain about a thing. I just got it today so I don’t know yet if the keys stick like everyone else’s but I’ve been putting work through this since I’ve gotten it just to test it. So far I love it, the magnetic wrist pad is comfy as h***. The keys feel great and automatically it started installing drivers for the mouse when I hooked it up. I love it Edited March 4th. It’s been a week now and keyboard still feels amazing. I’ve done lots of hard gaming on here and even some pounding on the keyboard and yet to have not deal with anything like keys being double tapped or sticking. Still a great keyboard overall and well worth the money

> 24 hourOverall, I enjoy the clickiness, the smaller form factor so it can fit on my desk and be transported with greater ease, and how the chassis is designed to be at a slant for a better typing experience. My previous keyboard had adjustable legs for putting the keyboard at an angle break, so this is a nice thing to see. My only nitpick would be after only a few weeks of use, the wrist rest is losing its pep. As you can see in the image because when gaming you usually dont rest your wrist anywhere but the are of the WASD keys, the cushion is flattening. Even after giving it time to reinflate, it doesnt return to a condition like the other areas of the cushion that are less used. I still wouldnt use the keyboard without it, as even though there is no cushion, it is still is nice to have something your wrists can rest on as you game or type, and the material feels nice too.

> 24 hourHalf of the keys are so touchy that Im always getting double taps from single taps. Thats not what I have come to expect from Razer. The secondary characters on the numbers such as ! @ # $ % arent plainly visible so if you use it for anything but gaming, youre going to need light and reading glasses if you type by sight like me. None of this has caused gaming issues...yet.

> 24 hourIt’s a good key board, but when I got mine, the wrist pad that I receive was torn to shreds and the spacebar’s stabilisers were broken. Performs good, but having a wobbly space bar and a wrist pad that looks like it stormed Normandy Beach takes way from that.

> 24 hourSo when i first got this keyboard i was really pleased with it. I purchased this keyboard back in 2018 and have been using it since. Recently i got the razer edition lian li case to sync with my keyboard. However now in the past month my keyboard has been double typing letters and it looks like ill have to replace it, and im not sure if i want to go with another razer keyboard if ill have this same issue later on dowwn the road. At first i thought it was dust trapped in my W key so i cleaned my whole keyboard, wwelp that didnt solve the problem. My spacebar acted up as wwell, but cleaning it has fixed it. Not only does my W key double types but sometimes my D key as well. In this review u can see that WW is typed twwice, wwhich happens often and is super annoying. I see other reviewers have had the same issue, so take that into consideration if you purchase this keyboard. Oh and this is my first razer keyboard ive used, very unfortunate that they may lose a customer.

> 24 hourEdit: Ive added one star since my initial review. On Razers end, their warranty was able to support me with a functional replacement. Its such a shame because the new keyboard didnt have a wrist rest and is actually a different beast altogether, or so I will disclose. A upgrade on paper, but not the way I may have most wanted. If the orange switch version of this BlackWidow didnt have any issues, it would have been the perfect keyboard thats suited for my needs. Ill be fair, I believe the support team did the best they could. The teams involved in product dev. and manufacturing just seem to have botched the keys I had issues with, and further research say Im not the only one with the problem. Had this for about a week now and the chroma effects glitch out when using in tandem with other lighting features. Started to get the iconically frustrating double clicks on keys like a, t, d, s, etc. the day I got it. Banging on the broken keys for a press or two works for a couple minutes until it starts bugging out again This is definitely not a software problem btw, Ive made the lengthy and troubling journey of reviewing my computer and the synapse program of any potential incompatibility or mishap. This double typing applies to any laptop and desktop Ive tried it on. Just gonna use my old keyboard for now and shelf this since I cant return it. Didnt feel like it was worth the effort. Im going to avoid Razer Keyboards for now. Spent good money on what wouldve potentially been an awesome experience.

> 24 hourDesign and build quality: It is a pretty standard TKL design. The frame/ chassis is not too thick, which is nice. Unlike other mechanical keyboards which are too thick and require a chunks wrist rest, with this one I had no issues typing without a wrist rest. The keys are of the floating type which is nice. Its has white backlite, which I prefer as I dont use the fancy RGB lights anyway. Overall build quality and feel wise. It is really good. Switches: Razer orange switches are tactile and have a nice noticable bump. Also I appreciated the addition of o rings for additional sound dampening. The reason I returned them was due to how orange switches are. Being used to cherry brown switches, orange switches are completely different feel. The difference is due to two reasons: Lower actuation force. The actuation force is too low for me. I kept pressing the keys accidently by just resting my fingers on them. Definitely less actuation force compared to browns and its equivalents. Lower actuation travel distance: The click/bump point was higher as compared to browns. I think maybe half. Its like you start pressing and it actuates the keys. You do feel the tactile bump. Maybe not a negative, maybe they are gaming oriented brown switches with lower actuation force and distance, but for someone who prefers cherry brown tactile feel, they were bit discomforting. If you wish browns had lower actuation force and travel before the bump. This keyboard might be the one for you.

> 24 hourI used a regular Black Widow Chroma for years before switching to this one. I use it primarily for gaming so I like the feedback and feel of a mechanical keyboard but I wanted something quieter. While this is definitely not silent, it is noticeably quieter than the green switches. I took to the feel of the orange switches immediately with no issue as they really do have a pleasant feel in my opinion. They still give satisfying feedback with each key press despite feeling different so it was easy to swap to this one without feeling like anything was lost between the two. If youre looking for something truly silent, this is not it, but theres an obvious difference compared to the green switches. This tenkeyless one doesnt have the USB port on the side like the normal one and I do miss that but I knew this upon buying it. The power cord is a very ample length though; my tower is several feet away from my desk and there is cord to spare. The RGB lighting is stellar and each key can be individually programmed to any color you can think of. With Razer Synapse, you can save multiple profiles that are easy to switch between and the level of customization you get is almost overwhelming because there is just so much you can do. You can set it to stay on the color(s) you want or pick one of many light patterns and also change the brightness. I think Synapse is quite user friendly and I was able to easily figure out how to do everything I wanted with it just by playing around with it a little on my own. Ive never used a wrist pad before but this came with one so I tried it out. Its magnetic and snaps right on and stays securely but I really disliked using it. Its nicely padded but I felt it raised my wrist a little too high for it to feel natural during use. Luckily it isnt built in so I just easily removed it and simply dont use it. After weeks with this, Im extremely happy with it. Its in perfect condition and I have no issues with any keys sticking or anything like that. I had my previous Razer keyboard for many years and its still going strong. I only switched because I wanted a smaller and quieter one and Ive seen nothing at so far that would make me doubt this ones longevity.
