Razer BlackWidow Lite TKL Tenkeyless Mechanical Keyboard : Orange Key Switches - Tactile & Silent - White Individual Key Lighting - Compact Design - Detachable Cable - Classic Black

The only thing wrong is the cable is too long. My keyboard is six inches from the computer, but the cable is 8 feet long. good sturdy cable, is IN THE WAY. Is there any way I can get a shorter cable to connect the keyboard to the computer without filling all my workspace? The keyboard itself is the best I have ever had, and Ive been dealing with keyboards for 33 years, not counting typewriters.

EDIT: Have been using this keyboard for almost 2 years now & used it extensively in Pandemic producitivty times of the tech industry(heavy typing) Initially I had problems with repeating keys. But I dont have that issue anymore. I dont know if I adopted in typing or the keyboard had a breakeven period. Eitherways, a very good keyboard at this price point. Yellow switches are really good. I have been using mechanical keyboards for years(esp red & blue switches) This is my first linear activation switch keyboard. So I will write my review (from last 4 hours of usage) into two parts: a) Keyboard: It is aesthetically built(along with reliable software) The key & keyboard quality is very high grade. The wrist support is also very comfortable. The RGB is highly customizable, but I havent explored much on it(I have a deathadder mouse and just duplicated its settings into keyboard as starting point) b) Yellow switches: It is kind of hit & miss. As I told I have used red & blue switch extensively and my typing is very accustomed to it. I am seeing character repetitions with yellow switch. It is because of the nature of this switch or the timing(displacement distance for registering the key stroke) I hope I wont be typing too many errors into my coding etc(as some things like ii can be caught by a compiler than eye during intensive coding/debugging sessions) I would recommend this keyboard is you are looking for something portable, beautiful and more over fancy gaming keyboard.

I saw this go on sale and I decided to try it out as I wanted a small form factor keyboard that was black instead of the white Ducky One 2 SF that I already had, to match the mouse/pad Im using at any given time. This keyboard is a TKL, meaning it does not have the number pad keys on the right side of the keyboard. This is great when you use a large mouse pad or have a small desk. It is marketed towards the office user, but Im not sure why anyone would personally go out of their way to buy this for office usage as it lacks the number pad that I use at work daily. I purchased this solely for gaming and home PC usage. This keyboard comes with tactile switches which are a good compromise between red (linear) and blue (tactile). They appear to be slightly lubed from the factory and feel very smooth. It also has included orange colored o-rings for the switches if you want to lower the noise a bit, but I personally found they made the keyboard feel a bit mushy, like a traditional membrane keyboard so I opted to not use them. It also comes with a keycap puller to remove the keys to clean them or install the o-rings. Another nice touch is the typical Razer stickers that they include with all of their products. My main keyboard prior to purchasing this was a Ducky One 2 SF, but with Cherry MX Brown switches. This uses Razers Orange switches, which are a Brown equivalent. Im fairly certain that they are made by Kailh, but labeled Razer. The Ducky I use is a very vibrant, full RGB. The Blackwidow Lite only comes with white LEDs, but Im fine with it for the price. For some odd reason, my Caps Lock key is brighter and a bit more yellow than the other keys, especially when I lower the brightness on the rest of the keys. You can adjust the brightness without the optional Razer Synapse software, which I try to avoid whenever possible. The Caps Lock key will also light up green when it is pressed. While I prefer the Ducky in terms of feel and looks, this is a great alternative for half the price (The Razer is on sale for $60 at my time of writing this review). There are no major QC issues and everything feels very solid with its understated looks. I highly recommend this keyboard for the price. UPDATE 10-4-20: This keyboard is still going strong, and I am using it to write this update. No issues or wear to report.

Impressive for the price. Razer has come a long way with their switches. My favorite keyboard switch is the Cherry MX Brown, and these are very close. Subjectively, this keyboard is a little bit louder but not by much. Typing on it feels great, very responsive. Pros: - Great backlighting, with fine control of the brightness. - Tactile switches, very close to Cherry MX Browns. - Braided cable. - Roughly 2/3 the cost of keyboards with Cherry MX switches + backlighting. - Dedicated media keys. Cons: - The larger keys such as spacebar and shift use the old metal crossbar style. This makes them more difficult to remove for cleaning / adding O-rings. Since these are things you dont need to do often, I consider this a minor inconvenience. - Slightly louder than Cherry MX Brown keyboards. - Razer Synapse bloat is required to customize it. - Alt / Fn / Menu keys are different sizes, so if you remap those keys you wont be able to move them around.

----------------------------------- English ----------------------------------------- I bought the keyboard based on a lot of reviews and it is perfect to work with, being tenkeyless it is easier to grip the mouse closely, the orange + orings switches reduce noise a lot but nevertheless being a mechanical keyboard it will always do more noise than a conventional keyboard, if typed correctly, the noise can be moderated. Recommended to work, to play it also works very well but perhaps for something more precise other types of switches are better (such as Linear optical switches or cherry MX Silent red) ------------------------------------ Español ------------------------------------------ Compré el teclado en base a un monton de revisiones y es perfecto para trabajar, al ser tenkeyless es mas fácil agarrar el mouse teniendolo cerca, los switches naranjas + orings reducen mucho el ruido pero sin embargo por ser un teclado mecanico el siempre hara mas ruido que un teclado convencional, si se escribe de forma correcta el ruido se puede moderar. recomendado para trabajar, para jugar tambien funciona muy bien pero quizas para algo mas preciso es mejor otro tipo de switches (como los Linear optical switches o cherry MX Silent red)

Edited to add: I am updating and reducing my rating of this keyboard. I absolutely loved it -- when it worked. I retain the complaints about the updates. And I loved the feel of the keyboard and the programmable light. Unfortunately, it just gives too much problems. After one update, it slowed down, didnt strike keys, and when I hit an O, it gave lines and lines of them. I gave up and am back to a RedDragon, which is disappointing because I cant program the keyboard lights in the same productive way. But its clacky and serves the purpose comfortably. So all in all I am terribly disappointed in this keyboard. I wish I wasnt. I love the clacky keys, and the feel is wonderful. When the personalized light pattern works, thats great and very helpful. Unfortunately, as far as I can see there is no way to stop automatic updates of this software, and every time it updates it screws up the lighting pattern. Right now it is doing the stupid and annoying phasing between colors, and I cannot even get the software to open up to change it. In a day or so it will probably unexpectedly kick in, leaving me to wonder, what the bloody hell? Only the top keys are highlighted, not the shift keys. And sometimes it turns itself on and off with no reason that I can see. Finally, the cord is bizarre and very sensitive. I ended up buying a second one because it fell off the table and the power connection broke. Despite these extremely annoying problems, the feel does it for me. Other than that, great keyboard!

Great product, I love the keys these switches are nice and clicky. I can type & do all my things and just bang on it and it sounds like im a fancy hacker. I just got it and this review is pretty much a few minutes after having it. If i had a con it would be the height of the actual keys from the base of the keyboard body. They are pretty high if you are not using a wristrest your hand may get tired. Its just a sentence of typing and my hands were feeling fatigued. I dropped the kickstands back down to make it flat and its immediately much better. Yeah this is a great keyboard on a deal.

Really superb all around keyboard. Price is great (I got it at $60), design is clean and not too in your face, which is welcome from Razer, build quality is solid, and quite pleased with the switches. The lettering looks really clean on the keyboard, and the backlighting is just right, not too bright or soft. Keyboard material, albeit seeming to be mostly plastic, still has a nice texture and premium feel to it. These Razer orange switches (brown equivalent) are wonderful and have made a noticeable difference for me when typing, both as a gamer and as a programmer. They are certainly an outright upgrade from the Outemu reds I had been using at my desk at home previously (I liked the smooth action but found I made a lot of mistakes with the low actuation force of the red switches), and Ill give them a slight edge in terms of personal preference for the softer switch action of the brown switch as opposed to the Cherry MX Blue switches I have in my keyboard at the office (currently not seeing much use, obviously). I am not ultra-sensitive to switch quality, I just prefer a keyboard with clean action and quality build, and after finally having given this style of switch a try I dont think I can go back. My only two *very minor* gripes are these: 1. Aesthetic from the side of the keyboard is a bit strange. The keycaps are very short in height and so the components underneath each key are visible, including the switch+switch housing. Seems like thats the aesthetic theyre going for, just not my personal taste, and its unnoticeable from above, which is where Im mostly seeing the keyboard from anyway. 2. Keyboard deck warped ever so slightly at one point so that it wasnt sitting flush with the desk. Not sure if this will resurface in the future, but I was able to unwarp it using raw man power (aka a very light bend back in the correct direction) and it has been sitting fine for over a week since I noticed the issue. These are not deal breakers in the slightest, just for others to be aware of when purchasing. Still love the keyboard, and certainly not worth subtracting a star.

Ok so I have had this keyboard before. Maybe like 2 years ago. but sadly I lost it. 3 months ago when I moved. I bought this keyboard again this week. This time around I got it used to save some money. I got the same switches as well(razer yellow).So I know exactly how bad the space bar and every other key with stabilizers sounded. And also overall how much pinging sound every other key in general would make when typing( used o-rings previously when I had it to help with that) . And this one I got this time around(used) has been modded 100%. Forsure from what I can see all stabilizers have been tightened and lubed very well. The spacebar sounds so good! And in general the keyboard sounds pretty thocky. No what else if anything else was done to it. Like adding some sort of padding/foam to the board. Not sure but it sounds and feels so good. So whoever upgraded this board. I thank you (:

My previous favorite keyboard is no longer made. It was Razer Blackwidow Stealth tournament edition. This is basically that keyboard. It is slightly quieter than a standard mechanical keyboard, but it definitely gives those satisfying clicks and feel at your fingers. My only complaint is that the key caps somehow feel slightly cheaper than Ive come to expect from razer. Still a solid TKL if you want a slightly quieter mechanical keyboard. I am a gamer and I love it.
