Retro-Bit Sega Genesis 2.4 Ghz Wireless Controller for Sega Genesis Original/Mini, Switch, PC, Mac - Includes Controller, 2 Receivers & Storage Case (Black)

So far so good. The controller works well, although it does feel a little cheap. PAIRING was an issue until I figured out that the instructions are incorrect. After you plug the receiver into the consoles port and press the start button on your controller (turning it on), you need to PRESS & HOLD THE SYNC BUTTON ON THE RECEIVER AND THEN PRESS THE START BUTTON ON YOUR CONTROLLER. The biggest plus on this controller (which Ive been waiting on) is that since it has the extra Sega Genesis receiver, you can use the controller on your original Sega Genesis. BUT, most people dont know this, you can also use this receiver on your Retron 5 AND your original Atari 2600!!! Yep, thats right. You can now play your original Atari 2600 wirelessly. The original Atari 2600 controller ports are the same as the Sega Genesis which means that you can use Genesis controllers on your Atari (which is how I play my vintage Atari games). I tested this wireless controller on both consoles and sure enough, it works great. Happy gaming!

Great response no lag

The controller seemed well made and had good feel like the original sega controllers but i couldnt get the home button to be detected in recalbox controller config.

I wanted to add a review because I saw mixed information about whether this worked with the Sega Genesis mini 2 console. I just tested it, and it does work. Im not sure why I didnt work for the other reviewers. I assume it would for the first Genesis mini as well.

When I first got it the sega dongle was defective. Seller sent me a replacement dongle. Had to sync it on a genesis model 2 and it worked fine (syncing instructions included are incorrect. After turning both on and hitting sync buttons you have to hit start on the controller to get it to actually sync). After I had the controller synced to the dongle I moved it to the AT GENESIS I had intended to use it on when I bought it. The AT GENESIS would only read the dongle for a second and turn off the dongle. Maybe there will be an update to that dongle later on allowing it to work on the preloaded sega genesis consoles but for now it doesnt work on them.

Use this for Sega Genesis. Also tried it out in Atari. Works great. I do prefer the simpler controller but the quality and reliability of this one is worth the extra buttons.

Great controller that is almost identical to the 90s counterpart. One of my 2 controllers came with a bad USB cable, but other than that they are great.

Great controller

No problems pairing this with my genesis mini. Pairs every time. Feels like the real thing too. It functions with 99% of the 200+ games Ive tried it with but havent found many games that use the additional 3 grey buttons. No issues with lag/latency or with the button double clicking or anything like that. It reaches a good 30 or so before losing connection. Ive played for hours so I know the battery life is good but there is one issue... It seems like the battery drains the moment you unplug them from the charger, if youre playing or not. Even if fully charged hours ago, youll have to charge them before you play. I honestly love this product though. It comes in a really nice case too.
