Purchased two of these wireless controllers and both do not work on two different Genesis mini consoles. I also have the wired versions and they work flawlessly. Stick with the wired controllers for your Genesis mini.

I was really impressed with this controller. Feels well made and not cheap like some other controllers I have gotten. Comes with a very nice storage case.

This product is great with lower latency and lag when compared to the 8bitdo m30 2.4g wireless controller. Great battery life and charges fast. The only thing that could be improved in a future firmware update is the option for turbo functionality. Maybe the turbo functionality can be accessed through a button combo similar to start + b buttons for switching between 3 and 6 button mode.

Works right out of the box, unlike other wireless Sega controllers. Comes in a nice display case. Really well made very happy.

The way you pair this controller is tedious and difficult to get working. It sometimes take 4 or 5 tries of going through the paring process to get working. The biggest problem is if you are using this with a real Sega Genesis, you must leave the power on your Genesis on or you will have to re-pair it everytime you turn it off and back on. Even when you do get it working, there is a slight but annoying input lag to this controller. The receiver should use a small battery or something so it does not require the Genesis to power it, and so the Genesis does not need to be on to stay paired. Used twice, and now its collecting dust on my shelf. The setup is too tedious to use it over a wired controller.

Needed to charge the USB controller for a minute - but it worked perfectly once I charged it and ran the instructions. My Sega is super-modern and you cant stop me!!

PROS: GENUINE product and licensed by SEGA, nice case that locks in very securely, comes with ports for USB Devices and original Genesis, 2 GhZ less likely to cut you off from gaming than Bluetooth, includes six buttons for fighting games and more. CONS: Doesn’t have Bluetooth (minor and exceptional in terms of interruption-free gaming), A bit smaller than the controller that came with Mini unit, case is quite difficult to open at first. Overall, I am quite happy with this purchase despite only using it for a couple of minutes; seems promising. Really relieved I waited for this one over the 8bitDo version even though they made great, wireless controllers for the retro Nintendo systems!

Fantastic controller. Definitely the most quality Ive had from retrobit before. My only gripe is the LR buttons. Its a personal problem due to the size of my hands but I keep triggering them by accident. Not the fault of the controller. The size and feel are amazingly similar to the original Sega 6 button controller and definitely worth the price.

This controller is garbage. The LED light and shoulder buttons broke after one minor drop. The D-pad broke after a month of normal use. The battery doesn’t hold a charge. It is cheap plastic and then when I attempted to get a replacement with the $5 warranty I bought, I got the run-around. I will never buy another Retro*hit controller. They are trash.

The cool thing about the Sega Genesis wireless controllers, that you can use it in without any cords. The battery life is more than superb, I think you can get up to about 100 hours off of one charge or something insane like that so I went and bought a iceberg blue one and the regular black one. It also has an adapter for if you wanted to plug it in to the original Sega Genesis console, thats if you still have one hahaha Ive been perfectly fine with my purchases you should get one too!
