> 24 hourI read lots of reviews before buying this and for the price of this lens it is a must have. Pictures are sharp at the lowest aperture setting of f2.8. This is certainly sharper than the 16mm pancake, 16-50 power zoom and the 18-55 kit lens.

> 24 hourI use two of those on Sony A5000 cameras that are stand mounted, for live stream content. Camera is mounted 6ish feet away. This may be too much doom for some live creators. If you want it mounted over your monitor, you will want something around 16mm.

> 24 hourI ran this lens for a couple years on my Sony A6000 with incredible results. I had an 18-55 zoom lens too, but never found myself using it. This is roughly the equivalent to a 50mm on a full frame camera, which is what your eye sees. Its neither wide, nor telephoto. The image quality was incredible and build quality was so impressive for the price. Now, you CAN put this on a Sony A7, given its an e-mount, but its not designed for a full frame camera. But it is worth noting, if you do upgrade in the future, its something you could still get by with until you buy new lenses.

> 24 hourThis lens exhibits extreme barrel distortion. Yes, it can be corrected but its so bad that the correction ruins your composition if anything important is remotely close to the edges / corners. You have to leave a significant amount of extra space around each composition to compensate for this... Its too bad because the lens is sharp, well built, and focuses reasonably quicky.
