> 3 dayI am very accident prone and so is the rest of my family. I have another external hard drive that I bought years ago, but with the many times that I have dropped it, or it getting pushed off the counter, it is falling apart. I bought this one hoping it will stay intact through our rough lifestyles and it has proven itself already! We have dropped it a few times already, from a low height, and it has held up! Great investment since I do not want to loose my thousands of pictures!

> 3 dayThis hard drive says that it has 1T but when I start transferring my fils for some reason only half of the space was available on disk even tho it was totally empty. Also for Mac users you need to refresh the disc and go through process that you can transfer files from Mac. Not so happy about it, even tho it’s looks stylish and so light.

> 3 dayThis works beautifully and is so light and compact. I only have one very minor complaint. The part that attaches the cord to the actual device pops off very easily. I wish that the connecting part was actually a part of the overall device.

> 3 dayAfter my husband passed away suddenly last year I decided to downsize and I moved last summer. A lot of things from our forty two years of marriage ended up in storage and my daughter is doing a phenominal job on doing our family tree, so we are going through pictures. She wanted to scan pictures and save them onto an external hard drive so they all could be together, so she used some of the Amazon Gift Card I got her for Christmas to buy the hard drive. I realized what a great idea that was, so I spent some time on Amazon checking out all the different models and the pros and cons of each. I knew that I wanted 1TB so that narrowed it a bit, and I read tons of reviews on each. What I liked about this one was that it was shock proof, scratch proof etc...I am very careful with my electronics, but everyone drops things occasionally, so I was really interested in what this one had to offer. I liked the way the USB cord wrapped and attached to the Hard Drive Itself. I figured there would be less chance of it getting lost. My daughter put all the pictures we have scanned already on to mine. She said it was fast and worked well. The only negative thing about it and it was not enough to take away a star was that the cord attaches to two clips, one on each side. However the small black clips are not permanently attached to either the hard drive or the USB cord and they fall off quite easily. They fell off the first time a couple of minutes after I took the hard drive out of the box and again when my daughter gave it back to me after adding the pictures. I originally planned not to buy a case, like I usually do for all my electronics, because of the shock proof and scratch proof properties. I decided to get one so that I could be sure that I didnt lose the cord or one of the clips. All the cases come in as different sizes as there are portable hard drives. I took the dimensions of the hard drive from the product page and then compared them with the dimensions of available cases in the price point I wanted to pay and I found an Orico case on Amazon which was reasonably priced. I chose the green color and was surprised when it arrived that it fit the hard drive like a glove and the green almost matched the green edging on the hard drive. I would recommend this portable hard drive because it works very well and has plenty of space for a lot of storage. As I stated, the loose clips to fasten the cord onto the unit does not effect the way the hard drive works, so unless that would be a deal breaker, you could pick up a case and be assured you wont lose the cord.

> 3 dayI kinda enjoyed it until the cord gave out. I think because the cord is so short caused a shortage or some type defect to wear it doesnt work anymore. Hopefully when my new cord comes tomorrow itll work . fingers crossed

Greater than one weekThis is a nice looking hard drive and I love that the cable attaches directly to it. The only problem with that is if you plan to put it into a a case made for these hard drives (like the amazon basic one I bought for it, it will not fit with the cable attached so you will need to remove the cable before storing it in the case. Transfer speed seems normal. Their widget that will schedule backups or transfers is VERY PRIMITIVE and not user friendly. This function needs a lot of work! This is why it got 4 stars out of 5. If it were up to my dad (which is whom I bought it for), he would have NEVER figured out the backup feature of this drive using its own software.

> 3 dayI bought this to replace my seagate, this one feels good for those thats always on the go. I use this mainly for my music and videos. Its been great. The only knock is that the plastic tabs on each side of it that holds the USB cable keeps coming off and I always have to look for it. That is all.

> 3 dayRecognized instantly by laptop and able to write. Easily formatted for exFat larger files. A little dissapointed in the cable attachment as the small holders easily pop out and get lost. I got this specifically so that whenever I grabbed it the cable would be there.

13-06-2025Sturdy and durable. Claims to be shock and water resistant (and feels like it probably is). Plugged into an old HP laptop with Windows 7 and was able to due a full image backup from the computer to this Armor drive with no errors (and didnt require a driver installation scenario). Then tried to image my Windows 10 machine but, Windows 10 is a little tricky. The drive was easily recognized but, you have to figure out how to get Windows 10 to behave with regards to completing an image/backup. The drive was easily recognized and allowed file transfers. The only problem was getting Windows 10 to complete the imaging processing (which is a known issues with Windows 10). UPDATE: Trying to get a basic backup of my Windows 10 Home ASUS laptop. After it sits processing for a couple of hours it ultimately completes the process but returns some error stating the backup couldnt complete. Have tried several times and it seems like its a Windows 10 Home issue. Online search on the error does not resolve the issue...frustrating.
